Setting Sail on a New Adventure

As a former professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and exploring the hidden gems of the Caribbean. But when I heard about the Beach Hopping Curacao tour, I knew I had to experience it for myself. Though the flamingos were shy that day, the landscape was breathtaking.

Next, we visited a charming old church before heading to our first beach stop, affectionately known as “Pig Beach.” While the pigs were nowhere to be seen, the water was a snorkeler’s paradise. The clarity of the water revealed a vibrant underwater world that was a joy to explore.

Swimming with Sea Turtles and Savoring Local Flavors

The second beach was a personal favorite. Known for its sea turtles, the beach offered a unique opportunity to swim alongside these majestic creatures. The water was a bit cloudy, but the thrill of having three large turtles glide by my feet was unforgettable.

Our final stop was Kokomo Beach, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and soaked in the laid-back atmosphere. The beach was perfect for capturing those quintessential Caribbean photos, and the drinks were a refreshing end to a day of adventure.

On our way back, we made a quick stop to finally catch a glimpse of the flamingos. Seeing them in their natural habitat was a fitting end to a day filled with exploration and discovery.

A Day to Remember

Returning to the starting point, the bus was ready to whisk us back to our ship. Reflecting on the day’s events, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience Curaçao’s beauty in such an intimate way.
