Must go tour for those who like national heritage, exceptional landscape and architecture. Like a fairy tale in one day - Thanks to best and knowable guide and also great driver Geoff and agency Mountain Goat I had a great time exploring and finding more about landscape and national heritage od Yorkshire Dales and testing and buying some excellent cheese. The tour was exceptional and I was glad that we visited Bolton castle with wonderful gardens. I would defenitly recommend travelers to go with them on their tours and making memories for whole life. Their guides and drivers are excellent and I hope that I will see you again on one of the tours in my favorite part of the world. You for sure have the best office in the world! Highly recommend!! - Absolute highlight of our time in the U.K. and Duncan, our guide, partly why. So full of knowledge and stories and the terrain just could not get any more beautiful. Another highlight was the stop at the Wensleydale Creamery for some cheese tasting. Any fans of Wallace and Gromit animation will understand the significance. An all day commitment—totally worth the money.

Fantastic Whole Day Experience on The Dales - I would highly recommend this tour if you are staying in Windermere / Ambleside. I had always wanted to go to the Dales and tour fulfilled all my dreams. We went to a small farmers market in Sedbergh, saw a train going over a viaduct, went to Wensleydale and tried lots of cheeses, went inside an old mill, then Bolton Castle, and finally visited the Aysgarth Falls. Mark my driver was excellent and knew so much information on the area and made the day very informative. His colleague Tim was also very informative and an excellent photographer. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves beautiful scenery and wants to experience the countrydide

Outstandingly Fabulous Day. - Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to Driver/Guide Mark Shipley for such a fantastic day from start to fininish. Mark explained exactly what was going to be taking place on our day out, we had a fabulous coach (Brand new), extremely comfy warm and brilliant for sight seeing. Mark went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our day, he is a fountain of knowledge and made it so intresting we were extremely luck weather wise as well as the sun shone for 95% of the day. I would have absolutely no problem to recommend this trip and Guide to family and friends for a truly magical day out. We are a group if local windermere ladies.

A Great Day - We very much enjoyed our tour. The countryside was beautiful and we took some great photos. Trevor really knew his stuff and told us many interesting information. He is an excellent tour guide. The stopovers at Grassington and Hawes were memorable and we had enough time to eat and to look around without being rushed.

Beautiful day in the Yorkshire Dales - My husband and I toured the Yorkshire Dales yesterday with John and John. (We picked up the second John in Hawes to return him to York from the Lake District.). What an amazing day in the Dales! We visited castles, villages, a creamery for yummy cheese, waterfalls, and an ice cream stop. The most beautiful part was near the Buttertubs Pass. Spectacular! Both gentlemen were excellent guides and great drivers. We highly recommend Mountain Goat!

A Grand Day Out - Fantastic day in the Yorkshire Dales with our Driver/Guide Mark Shipley leaving us with many happy memories we shall always treasure. His knowledge and history of the Dales, from its geology to the origins of the names of the many villages and towns we passed through bought our tour to life. Likewise Mark provided an insight to the people themselves who live and work in the Dales and how the environment has shaped their lives on all levels from cultural to spiritual. Throughout the day we paused our tour for breathtaking views providing opportunities for some amazing photo shots. In particular the Edwardian rock garden was a sheer delight, a gem of a location tucked away in plain sight…..I won’t give any more away but let you all discover it for yourselves. Best of all we all got to meet Wallace and Gromit and had a photo shot with the connoisseurs of cheese themselves whilst stopping off at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes. All in all the whole day was filled with laughter and a good time was had by all of us. We were only a small group but by the end of the day we were all sorry to part. Mark was a joy to be with and the trip to Bolton Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned was one of his many jewels in his crown. Mark’s passion for the Yorkshire Dales inspired all of us with his enthusiasm. Mark is a true Yorkshireman full of spirit and kindness and generosity. As a Yorkshireman myself all I can say is “By gum lad that was a Grand Day Out”!

Beautiful scenery with great guide - A really good day out, Mark Shipley our guide was very informative and very entertaining. He took us to some truly hidden gems and has definitely given us a keenness to visit the Yorkshire Dales for a break. There were many highlights but one of our favourite aspects of the trip was the visit to the Wensleydale Creamery, we got to sample the various cheeses before buying, just delicious! In summary, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day with amazing scenery which was made all the more better with our fabulous guide.

A very informative tour of Yorkshire - Our tour guide was John who was delightful. He was charming, extremely informative and we had a marvelous day in Yorkshire. We learned a lot about the history of the region which also means that we learned a lot about English history as well. The only reason for not giving the tour five stars is that it was an 8 hour tour which became a bit overwhelming. If they could find a way to knock off a couple of hours one could still be immersed in the region.
