  The Ingapirca Archaeological Complex stands as the most extensive and well-maintained site in Ecuador. Situated amidst the arid, wind-swept highlands of the southern sierra, it is located 80 km to the north of Cuenca, at an elevation of 3,180 meters.
  En route, one can witness captivating Andean vistas and locals adorned in vibrant attire. Adjacent to the road, you’ll encounter the region’s renowned “cascaritas,” a local specialty crafted from pork. Ingapirca presents a fascinating journey back in time, offering insights into the Cañari and Inca civilizations. Be enthralled by the varied architectural styles of the temples, the accuracy of the solar measurements, and the sophistication of the water channels.
  Additionally, we’ll explore the impressive Church of the Virgen del Rocío, perched atop the cliffs of Biblián’s neighboring town.
  The itinerary may differ slightly depending on the day of the tour, with the following variations:
  Wed, Thu, Sat: Cuenca - Biblián. Pause at the “Tejedoras de Biblián”. (The weavers are situated along the Cuenca-Cañar highway)
  Friday: Cuenca - Ingapirca - Livestock and Craft Market.
  Sunday: Cuenca - Cañar Market in the Cañar village. A market full of vibrant hues.
