Traditional Ecuadorean Feast - My wife, sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class. Our English speaking guide and translator Wilson took us on an informative tour of Mercado 12 de Abril to acquire the ingredients. Our hostess Monserrate was very gracious and generous. She made us feel at home, taught us a lot and served us a great meal. We will be adding these recipes to our repertoire.

Charming personal experience! - Had a delightful and informative experience walking through a local produce mercado with Wilson, a professional guide who knows his territory. We were shopping for ingredients for lunch and I learned about the many special foods native to Ecuador. We were welcomed into Monse’s home to make a local meal. She is a good home cook and I was invited to help with preparing some of the ingredients. For me the best part of travel is getting to know the people, and even better to share a meal. Thank you for a special and intimate view of a modern local family. The world becomes smaller when we find common ground!

Opportunity to learn the southern home style of Ecuador - The one who gave me the Guide, Louise, had a deep knowledge of the cupcakes, and the one who led the classes, Monsen, taught me her own home cooking recipe. Personally, it was a very interesting time and I would recommend it to other Koreans. You can go to Korea and have a lot of fun using familiar ingredients that you can eat personally.

Best cooking class! - Monse and Wilson were Top-rated! The cooking class was spectacular. Wilson took us to the market where we could choose the ingredients for the recipe we were going to prepare, and then Monse explained how the dishes were made and some other details. We highly recommend it and would definitely do it again!

Pass the Aji, please! - I made this reservation not knowing what to expect.Boy am I glad I did. It ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Cuenca. Our guide, Adrian shared his extensive knowledge about Ecuadorian foods and cuisine enthusiastically. Montserrat was a charismatic hostess and a born teacher. We loved the simplicity and wholesomeness of the Ecuadoran food and will be making Aji, a bright and fresh, hot sauce, the rest of our lives!

Perfect place to visit - Beautiful historic city. Amazing mountains. Lots of good restaurants. Lots of things to see in and near the city. I suggest IngaPirca, Chardoleg, the hat factory and museum and the 10 de agusto market in Cuenca.

Authentic taste of Ecuador - Wilson was our guide, he picked us up at our apartment right on time. He took us to a local market to buy the ingredients and also told us about all the different exotic and local fruits. We then went to his aunts house which was very nice in a gated community. Wilson did all the translating and reall made us feel very comfortable, even learned a new way to chop an onion! Lunch was very good and the fruit drink exceptional. Wilson is a fantastic guide would recommend to anyone coming to Ecuador.
