Laguna La Toreadora - Following the 3 Cruces visit, a 10-minute drive will take you to the central part of Cajas Park, situated at 3,960 meters above sea level. Here, you will embark on a three-hour walk in the Toreadora area, depending on the group’s pace. The trek offers a chance to admire the breathtaking scenery, including the Polylepis Forest, several glacial lakes, and the Andean páramo, also known as moorland. Your guide will provide insights into the area’s flora and fauna. Cajas Park is a fantastic spot for nature photography, and with some luck, you might spot llamas.

Your guide will explain some medicinal and representative plants of this ecosystem, and you can also see the origin of the Tomebamba River, considered the most important river in the city of Cuenca.
