El Cajas, stunning natural beauty - Our tour guide Diego was the best we’ve had while traveling in Latin America this last year. He was knowledgeable not only about the El Cajas National Parks history, but plant and wildlife residing there too. Diego was also energetic and engaged throughout the entire day from pick up early in the morning till he dropped us off late in the afternoon. El Cajas is a must see national park. With its multiple ecosystems, terrain, climates and wildlife within. This jewel should be well known as Yosemite, Yellowstone or the Amazon Rainforest.

Great excursion not too far from Cuenca - My guide was Edison. This was a well planned trip with a nice longer scenic hike through the Toreadora area. Lunch was at a restaurant with a beautiful view and typical Ecuadorian food. The last part of the tour was a visit to the lowest altitude area of the park, Llaviucu. It was a shorter hike with very different vegetation from the first hike. Edison is very fluent in English and is very knowledgeable. Edison kept the trip right on schedule the entire day and we got back to Cuenca just before 4pm.

Priceless adventure - We picked the group tour including lunch, and we ended up being the only ones on the tour. Eddie was our tour guide, and he was amazing!! He was timely picking us up at our airbnb, he was extremely knowledgeable about the city and flora and fauna, and he was a great photographer for my partner and I. He was very kind, and understanding with me having some altitude sickness issues. He altered the route based off of our liking and capabilities, and he also took us on an errand we needed to run before dropping us off back at our airbnb. It was the most amazing and affordable excursion we’d ever been on, and would most definitely do another with him! I highly recommend doing this tour!

We had an amazing time at Cajas national park with Polylepis tours - We had an amazing trip to Cajas national park with Polylepis tours and our amazing guide Wilson. We did two two-hour hikes at two different locations, and also went to a beautiful viewpoint, from which we could have a very nice view over parts of the Cajas national park. Everything was very well organized and everything was on time. We were also picked up from our hotel. Our guide Wilson was very friendly and was very talented at spotting all the different interesting animals and plants and was even able to name all of them. He knew many interesting facts about the Cajas national park and we were amazed by his knowledge. At the end of the tour, we also he an exceptional lunch. I would highly recommend this tour if you are in Cuenca and I can highly recommend Polylepis tours and their amazing guide Wilson.
