The Heart of the Caliphate - This tour was amazing! We were lucky enough to have Javier as our tour guide (the most amazing guide you could ever want!). We also had Javier for our Mezquita tour a couple of days earlier, and he is the best! Medina Azahara is such an important site in the history of the caliphate, and Javier truly brought this place to life for us. He walked us through the museums first to understand the various social class distinctions present in the artifacts themselves. Then, we toured the site, seeing and understanding its terraced neighborhoods as also being class distinctions. We entered the remains of rooms, stables, houses, and areas that all had specific purposes - all to show the grandeur and power that the caliphate had, to impress diplomats and strike awe and wonder to all who ventured there. If you truly want to understand the Golden Age of Muslim rule in Andalucia, you must go to this site, the heart of their power.

Super enriching visit. - The visit to Medina Azahara was a wonderful experience. The reason: the wonderful guide (Sandra), who is a lovely person, placed us from the beginning, with super clear and funny explanations in the peak time of that wonderful and at the same time, enigmatic Medina. A full hit with a real connoisseur of the time. I recommend it 100 percent.

Very good guide - We went with Pilu. He told us how Medina Azahara was built. We have walked around the city with some very interesting explanations from Pilu a. It's gotten us completely into the era

Absolutely amazing guide - This was an amazing tour for us. Our guide, Javier, possesses a deep knowledge of the history and culture of the site. He customized the tour to fit the needs of a couple with limited knowledge of the topic. I felt like I was back in school attending a class with my favorite teacher. He would be a wonderful guide for anyone regardless of their knowledge of the history of the area.

We understand it was Medina Azahara - With the guide Sandra L. The visit to Medina Azahara was pleasant and instructive. A prepared and friendly guide. It is ideal to go to Medina Azahara with them. Since without guidance you would only see ruins. The reservation involves going by bus that they also organize. All in time and always accompanied

Cordoba Mosque Tour - Our guide Angela provided a great tour experience for our visit to the Mosque in Cordoba.
She walks us through the most impressive parts of this huge building, helped us understand the history and context of when it was built and then changed over the years, and pointed out many unique elements.
We also walked thru the old town and the Jewish quarter which had its own unique elements.
I would have enjoyed strolling by the river and across the bridge but this was beyond the time of the tour, and it was an unusually hot day.
Overall I highly recommend this tour.
