The tour will detail the various phases of construction, beginning with the remnants of the ancient Visigothic basilica of San Vicente, which are still preserved. The journey continues to the old mosque constructed by Emir Abderraman I, including subsequent expansions up to the Almanzor era.
Following the city’s conquest by the Christian army, the Mosque was transformed into a Cathedral, occupying several warehouses due to Caliph Al-Hakam II’s expansion for liturgical purposes. Eventually, the existing transept of the Cathedral was constructed.

Must be included on your trip to Spain! - The history provided by our very knowledgeable guide was very helpful to understand how the monument was built through the decades- centuries. 60 chapels- amazing! The Mahoney wood carvings, the choir room and the Catholic cathedral inside are like none other!

Very interesting visit of the Mezquita in French with Almudena - We enjoyed the guided tour of Almundena de la Mezquita. Almudena knows his subject very well. She spoke very clearly in French, gave us explanations about the construction of the monument and the history of Cordoba using visual aids. The 1h30 visit is over in the snap of your fingers!

Great experience! Not to be missed when in Cordoba! - Our guide was great! You could tell she loves her job! We heard great stories from history of this wonderful cathedral! Even our kids enjoyed the tour up to the end!

The essential mosque - I really liked the Montse guide that the Mosque explained in great detail. You could tell she was a historian because she linked explanations related to what she was telling. Highly recommended

Make sure you know where to go for your tour. - The tour itself was wonderful with Maria as our guide. The ticket directed us to an address far from the Mosque and it was difficult to find our guide. There needs to be better directions for the start.

Unpresentable. Change of hours are reason I can not make the visit and have to return the money - Very bad experience. They ruined my visit to Cordoba. I have changed the schedule of the guided tour with tickets and when I arrived at the scheduled time the visit could not be made. I was only today in Cordoba so I have not seen the Mosque. Since Get your Guide they have not been able to contact you to give a solution. I could have gone. I was waiting in the area

Terrible. They kept my money and they sent me a bonus at the wrong time - Terrible Artencordoba and terrible get Ur guide. They gave me the time and they haven't taken responsibility for anything. I've run out of visitors or my tickets. Buy only on the Mosque website. Don't even use the app, not that agency. They don't offer solutions. They just told me to come back tomorrow. Very pro client everything, ironic of course. What a dire experience
