Fantastic experience - very wheelchair friendly - Fantastic experience. We thought it was just an info centre but were pleasantly surprised to discover an amazing boardwalk experience.
I get around in a wheelchair and I could get most places. Those places I couldn't get to, there was a 360° virtual tour experience.
The handheld that gave you commentary as you walked around was great - very informative.
Definitely worth the so if you're up that way.

Daintree Discovery Centre is a good way to learn about the area - The Centre is an informative and interesting way to learn about the area through both indoor and outdoor experiences. The walkways are carefully set up through a small wooded area and climbing the stairs up to the top of the "tower" affords a special view in and over the canopy. It took us about an hour and a half to do most things, including the walkways, tower, and indoor learning centre, and was a good stop on our way further north.

Rainforest education - Great experience , a must for all to see. To learn about one of the great natural wonders of the country is a privilege.

Extremely informative - I arrived in Far North Queensland and had very little idea about the Daintree Rain Forest. I was keen to get my head around it and the Discovery Centre was the perfect place to get a really good understanding of the flora, fauna, geology, topography, climate and history. Excellent access on the boardwalks and the booklet plus digital guide worked well together. Thoroughly recommend

Discover the discovery centre - The Discovery Centre is a must-stop! The young man at check-in was super friendly and informative. The audio tour is included and really enhances the walk. You'll learn a ton about the rainforest's current and historical inhabitants. Highly recommend a visit!

Daintree Discovery Centre wonder - The Daintree Discovery Centre was fantastic. A great audio tour around the centre. Great info on the various fauna & flora as well as history. Such a wide variety. Interesting Cassowary facts etc.Loved the animated dinosaurs. Pictures & info on various bush tucker items. I’m not great with heights but made it to the top of the 23m tower, looking out over the rainforest - fabulous. Definitely a drop in point on the way to Cape Tribulation or just on its own.

Bellissimo! - The entrance ticket also includes an audio guide in all languages (even Italian!) which is not obvious in these parts.
Following the path indicated by the park booklet and the map, you will discover many curiosities about flowers, fruits, trees, plants, animals of all kinds (birds, snakes, marsupials), as well as some hints of history about Aboriginal culture and their survival secrets.
Very nice Jurassic Park, where some dinosaurs that populated the area were reproduced in real size.
It is highly recommended to go to the top of the 23-meter tower (across 112 steps), and listening to the audio guide you will discover many notions about the stratification of the rainforest, as well as the essential role that animals have in its maintenance and preservation.
Trip absolutely recommended even for those with children!
There is also a nice bar and a well stocked gift shop!

Must do! - Pleasantly surprised by the Daintree Forest tour! Self guided, easy to use audio included. Lots of interactive sights to see and things to do. Very well set out sections to explore. Pathways easy to walk and loved the easy climb up the stairs to the lookout. Great value for money & fantastic for all ages.

Go and do it! - If for nothing else than climbing the tower this is an essential visit. Getting above the Canopy and being able to see where the action is in the forest is worth everything. Good displays and I enjoyed the audio stations as well as the guide book. There is a lot to do here and to absorb.

Daintree Rainforest - more for kids - There was a lot of hype for this discovery centre. Being a tourist you don’t know until you get there on what it is exactly like. The parking to this venue was poor. A few spots & everyone else had to park on a dirt road with access of one car to get through. When we arrived the centre the staff were nice but they’re quick to pounce on you to purchase a ticket even if you just wanted morning tea. When we got inside they had these ear sets that you can listen to with numbers on the suspension bridge. I found that great & informative. There are some fish & snake displays which are good but a lot of the displays are more for kids. The tower wasn’t very mobile friendly. A steep walk up the top, not everyone can climb up. If you are someone who doesn’t like walks in the rainforest, likes everything at your doorstep & have kids this is a good place to visit. I like exploring nature itself & found it was very touristy. Not worth the $39, you can get a discount with a voucher which is much more reasonable.
