Delicious oysters, informative talk and beautiful scenery! - We had a very nice morning learning about the oyster farming process in a setting that was incredibly beautiful. The oysters themselves (I had 4 and could have eaten a dozen more) were the best I have ever tasted. we learned that the fact that the water is brackish made them both salty and sweet, and I loved every taste. While I would have loved to put on some big boots and get wet, I respect the expertise and process that doesn’t allow that to happen. It is a worthwhile stop over on the way to hike in the Connemara National Park.

Very good experience - I wanted to experience something a wee bit out of the ordinary that was interesting and informative and this was both !! Thoroughly enjoyed it all---- including biting the bullet and trying my first ever ( had two actually 😀) oyster, at the grand old age of 71, never having been brave enough. Very pleasant, I may need to practice some more before I can rave about them but that is MY issue, not the fault of the oysters, which the young couple also in the tour, who were experienced oysters eaters declared wonderful. Our guide ( Siobhan ? ) was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. Thoroughly recommend

We. ❤️oysters! - So nice to see someone who loves what he does and explains everything so well. Paul was just that! In spite of the weather, we got to really understand the art of farming oysters, not to mention their briny wonderfulness when we tasted them. Wonderful experience.

Great overview of the farm and some delicious oysters at the end 😋 - Brilliant tour with Sinead. Learnt lots about the farming process and now appreciate Kate how much work goes into to the production of these delicious oysters. Great to have a shucking refresher also. And the oysters are … really delicious.

Savoring Connemara: A Premium Oyster Experienc - Delve into the enchanting world of oysters at a quaint farm located at the edge of Connemara Park. This oyster farm prides itself on producing premium oysters that are shipped globally. Our guide, Paul, a lifelong fisherman, embodied the quintessential Irish charm—both personable and humorous. The tour was highly educational, culminating in a grand finale where we tasted the oysters. They were exceptionally delicious, aptly earning the title 'food of the Gods.' We couldn't resist purchasing several dozen of these exquisite treats!

fabulous and fun! - Oh, my... this was such a wonderful experience. I learned a lot about oysters and about this particular farm. Amazing to get to visit and witness all the work that goes into the farming of oysters. And... we not only got to eat fresh oysters, we also received a lesson on how to shuck them! Sinead was a fabulous tour guide... kind-hearted and knowledgable in answering lots of questions. It is such a gift that this working farm allows tours of this sort. I went alone, but this would be a great experience for any sized group, and also would be fun for all ages of children. Highly recommended.

Great family activity even on a rainy day - Very enjoyable and informative to see and understand the whole process. The history of the farm itself is incredible having been in place since well before the founding of the State. A real experience despite the deluge of rain. And the shucking and tasting completes the journey. Spectacular location.

Disappointing for the money - We were looking forward to this - especially with the number of good reviews - but it was really disappointing, especially for the money. When we were arrived we were shouted at and told to wait outside a shed. The tour leader was late and I'm afraid her inexperience shone through and it was clear that she was just standing in for someone else. It was a really rainy day, but there was no real provision for this - no inside chairs or umbrellas to go round outside. The oysters took ages to be opened. We had two each which were nice, but for 40 euros I would have expected there to be some vinaigrette or something to add if that was your preference. Or at least a napkin. I didn't learn anything that I couldn't have googled. We went on a few tours in Ireland and this was by far the most expensive and the most disappointing
