Fantastic and informative with a great host! - We met with Peter on Saturday morning, which was a gloriously sunny day. We were the only two on this walk which made it feel very special. Peter was very engaging, knowledgeable and funny. He certainly new his subject and painted a very full picture of Durhams history. He certainly didn't hold back in his description of those terrible and troublesome Scots (we're from Glasgow)! We thoroughly enjoyed our time (over 2 hours and plenty of steps) and would highly recommend Peter's walking tour!

The must do tour of Durham! - We found this tour quite by accident but were convinced by the description and reviews. They didn't lie - in the two hours we walked around Durham our guide Peter almost always had an interesting fact to give about the view and the buildings. You'll get an overview of the well known and less well known spots in Durham and quite the history lesson of Durham in all of its fascinating (and gruesome) aspects. Peter is also a well of recommendations, if you are still planning where to eat and what to visit.

If you do one thing in Durham, make it this tour - Can’t recommend highly enough. Learned so much about Durham past and present. Coincided with Uni open day which possibly resulted in a few more stories. Now know the meaning behind money for old rope and going for a burton! Make sure you wear comfy shoes, it’s hilly and lots of cobbles.
