Great day trip to New Grange! - Great tour and guide! Matt shared lots of interesting stories and was not only informative, but he was entertaining as well. He really set the stage well for people to appreciate the significance of what we were seeing and experiencing, especially at New Grange.

Wonderful day tour with Matt - My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with Matt (the Irish Rock) to see Knowth, Newgrange and Monasterboice. Matt was very knowledgeable and made sure we knew exactly where to be to not miss the Office of Public Works (OPW) buses. We had a small tour group and that made it very enjoyable.

Newgrange Experience - Fascinating history and neolithic sites. Richard, our guide/driver did a great Job preparing us for what we'd be seeing. We did get a bit of rain at Newgrange and rain with hail on our return to Dublin.

Diamond in the rough - This is a diamond in the rough experience. Were only made aware of Newgrange by a couple we met last week that told us to try and go, not easy to do on short notice. But we got a tour, with an amazing guide, Matt. He was outstanding and talked about much of Irelands history in detail. We had an amazing day. I highly recommend it

Our favorite tour & guide - This may possibly be the best tour we have ever had in Ireland. Our tour guide, MATT from Hilltop Treks, was the best. Not only was he personable, but he was very knowledgeable taking the time to answer any and all questions. Never did he make us feel rushed. Even tho it was a rainy & very cool day, the Newgrange, etc tour was one we will never forget. Thank you, Matt!

Newgrange a secret jewel - This is a well kept secret. Friends told us it was a must see. We were lucky enough to get a tour. Matt our guide, was fantastic. He explained so much about Newgrange and so much more about Ireland. Don’t pass this up if you have the opportunity

Highly recommended - This tour to Newgrange and Knowth, along with two ruined monasteries Mellifont and Monasterboice, was highly informative. The group's tour guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable and provided valuable insight into key events in Irish history such as the Battle of the Boyne, the Great Famine, and the Easter Rebellion, while the specialist guides at Newgrange and Knowth gave the group a very good introduction to these ancient neolithic sites.

Best Way to Visit Newgrange - I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! I learned so much about the history of the Newgrange site, including Knowth. Our guides at the site were so well informed and the views from Knowth stunning. Getting to go inside the Newgrange mound was truly awe inspiring. Getting to walk around the Abbey and Monasterboice was lovely, especially learning about and seeing the Celtic High Crosses. Our tour leader, Richard, was a great guide. He shared stories and historical information that tied everything together. I highly recommend this tour and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Perfectly fine trip and... - Perfectly fine trip and was the way we could get to Monasterboice. We were disappointed not to have more time there although rest of group seemed relatively uninterested. Movie at Battle of the Boyne is well done. Knowth and Newgrange very interesting. Tour guide knew less about some details than we did. Lunch available at Newgrange but not included

Newgrange and Knowth are worth it - The Newgrange visit is actually two in one. From the visitor centre there's a nice walk to a bus stop that will first take the visitors to Knowth and then Newgrange. I was surprised at Knowth and really enjoyed it, there's also a short video to explain all the bits we cannot see but the kerbstones are really interesting. In Newgrange we can enter the main chamber but note it's right and only 10-15 people enter at a time. It's a short walk from the entry to the central point, and the local guides will simulate the light from winter solstice for a full experience. The remainder of the trip isn't that interesting (battle and graveyard).
