Let someone else plan it ;) - Had an awesome day on tour! All our guides were super friendly, helpful, and full of great info. I never once felt lost or confused. We got to relax, enjoyed the views and someone else handled the logistics. It really takes the stress out of exploring. Highly recommend if you want to see the best of Ireland without the hassle!

Cliff Experience - Good experience. Super easy to navigate. Castle was great, cliffs were spectacular. Had lunch and dinner in neat little pubs - we both split the G (look that one up).

Highly Recommend! John is the best! - This tour was such a great time for my wife and I on our honeymoon! We loved the cliffs and walking through the castle and had delicious meals all day. John our tour guide was a 10/10. He made the entire day so easy, shared lots about the local towns, and made it a very memorable trip!

Best day ever!! - What an incredible time we had on this day tour!!! My husband and I are visiting Ireland for our honeymoon and today could not have gone better. John was the most amazing tour guide and made the day one to remember. He was so knowledgeable about all things Ireland and made sure we all felt informed and knew what was ahead of us at all times. I would definitely do this again. Thank you so much to John for everything!!!

The tour is so well... - The tour is so well organized! Andrew was our guide and he was a wealth of information and excellent storyteller, too. I felt we got to experience so much on this tour. I just wish we had more time. I was traveling with a group of 17 and it was easy. I highly recommend and if I ever go back will do this tour again.

Made touring the country a breeze - My wife and I took this day-tour to the cliffs as a last hurrah to finish up our honeymoon and I couldn’t be happier. The sights were incredible but that is going to be true regardless if you have a tour guide or not assuming weather behaves. What makes the difference is the guides themselves as it determines how smooth things go and what you learn along the way. In this case our tour guide Norman made this beyond worth it. Time flew by with fact after fact about the surrounding area, Irish culture, and architecture. This man is easily one of the hardest working individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure to be around. He was hustling through the bus/train, ticket lines, etc in every occasion to make sure each individual group knew what to do and was comfortable. It is rare to see passion for work like you see with this man. Of course Norman doesn’t do it alone as he was supported by Michael our driver. He pulled off some incredible maneuvering of our clunky bus on the tight cliff side roads and towns and was considerate to everyone regarding our comfort. We had a rare warm day at the cliffs and he wanted to make sure the bus was cooled and comfortable before Norman got us back on track. Overall if this duo of guides is anything to base your tour company selection off of I would go with Railtours Ireland Firstclass every time.

Excellent and Beautiful ! - First of all, we could not have had better weather during our trip so that obviously contributed to the 5+ stars. Viewing the cliffs was such a treat in such beautiful weather. Our other stops were just as fabulous making this day exceptional. Our driver was very well informed and guided us throughout the day. I would definitely use this bus line again…. Red Rover.

Good trip, excellent tour guide (Norm), offensive train escorts. - My spouse and I took this long day trip a few weeks ago. Overall, it was very nice and achieved what we wanted -- we saw a lot and it was all guided. "Norm" our tour guide was excellent. He kept us on schedule, kept us informed, provided excellent information during the tour. It was long -- left Dublin at 7 am and returned at 10 pm -- but we worth it. My complaint with the trip is the staff members who accompanied us on the train, particularly the morning person. I don't know his name, but his behavior made the train trip unpleasant. He pestered and pestered us to talk (neither of us felt well and it was 7 in the morning) and he sat with us, talked incessantly (he said over and over again, "nano, nano, -- nano nano " and he quoted the first lines of rock songs again over and over again). When I finally responded to him he rudely said, well now she is waking up. Then he grabbed my arm several times and tried to sit in my lap. HE TRIED TO SIT IN MY LAP!! The one on the way back was not much better -- he pestered us to talk and hardly left us alone. For both, we told them we just wanted to be quiet and enjoy the train ride -- which was a major reason we took this trip. We enjoy trains, had looked forward to quiet time during the ride. These two, especially the first guy, did not let that happen. PLEASE -- DO something about these guys -- there was no "luxury" in any moment with them.

Great Way to Travel - We were looking forward to a peaceful ride to Limerick, Cliffs of Moher and Galway. We were up at 5:00 am to catch the 7:00 am train to Limerick. Once at the train station we were met by Frank. He was a strange little man who made funny noises and kept on pestering us. He really interfered with our enjoyment of the train ride. Once in Limerick we transferred to a coach and thankfully our guide, Norman, was appropriate, friendly and knowledgeable. We were fortunate that the Cliffs were very visible that day and they are magnificent. In Galway, we changed guides again and this time we got John. While he didn’t make funny noises or utter half phases, he was intrusive. We wanted to rest after a long day and he kept talking to us. In short, the train guides were annoying and intrusive but the trip is worth the 21.5 hours. It is a great way to see the West Coast from Dublin.
