A favourite for our family with adult kids - A couple of years ago, my husband and I were in Dublin and were thoroughly amazed watching Gaelic football and hurling in the pubs. It was nothing like what we knew but at the same tim seemed to combine a lot of skills from other sports. This year we were traveling with our adult kids who love playing football (soccer in Canada), lacrosse, volleyball, dodgeball - well pretty much anything - and this experience seemed a perfect fit. A nice detour from sightseeing. My husband loves sports and wanted to learn more about his Irish roots. As a 60+ with a sedentary job who hadn't played team sports for several decades, and who had more than a few individual sport-related injuries, my personal goal was to not be hugely embarrassed (I was, but sometimes you have to take one for the team). Gaelic games were super interesting to learn about and the skills fun to try, and their importance for community and Irish identity will not be soon forgotten. The leaders were excellent - knowledgeable, kind and patient. The setting was perfect. And no pressure but with an opportunity for competition for those who crave it. The only way I can think of to improve it would be to add a chance to watch an actual game afterwards! Thanks for teaching us about these very special games! With a little practice, I just might try it again!

Fun and educational experience among friendly people. - I visited the Gaelic Games in Dublin as a teacher with a group of students. It was a great and fun experience. Not only did we get to try the different Gaelic games, but we also learned interesting facts about Irish culture and heritage. Everybody we met at the club was very welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic. I can highly recommend this experience.

Loved our experience - First stop in Ireland: learning the history and playing some Gaelic games! Huge thanks to Seanann and the team at Gaelic Games Experience in Dublin for an unforgettable introduction to this vibrant part of Irish culture. From hurling to Gaelic football, diving into these games was not only fascinating but also a whole lot of fun. It’s incredible how these sports are deeply tied to Irish history and community. Seanann’s storytelling brought the past to life, making it so much more than just a sporting experience. And can we talk about the perfect way to kick jet lag? After a long flight, running around and getting active on the field was exactly what we needed to shake off those stiff muscles and dive into the spirit of Ireland. If you’re ever in Dublin, don’t miss out on this. It’s the perfect mix of culture, sport, and craic (Irish for fun!). #GaelicGames #IrishCulture #DublinAdventures #Hurling #GaelicFootball #TravelIreland

Tiring, but fun and interesting - This is my best memory of my trip to Dublin. We got a brief introduction to the importance of these games to Irish culture, and then we learned enough basics about rules and technique to do some drills. We didn't actually play a game of hurling or football, but given the size of our group (not nearly enough for a team), the difficulty of the game, and the likelihood of an injury (like getting whacked by a hurl!) this was all for the best.

A definite must do - What a hoot! A thoroughly fun day. We learned a lot about Gaelic sports, and the hands-on, interactive part of the day was totally inclusive, independent of one’s physical abilities. Appropriate for old and young. The venue is a little bit out-of-the-way but worth the cab ride. If you want to better understand the culture and passion of the Irish sign up for this program.

Don’t just go to a game, try the games! - What a great way to experience Irish life. While most of us were not very good at the games, we all thoroughly enjoyed trying. Kieron was a great coach!
