The Best Option for a Private Tour from Dublin to the Burren & Cliffs of Moher! - We were extremely pleased with the private (2 people) day tour that we booked from Dublin to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. The Cliffs are profoundly amazing even when the weather is crap which is was – we spent 2 wonderful hours there getting pelted by rain! We think took many people view the Burren as warmup act for the Cliffs but they are a headliner in an of themselves!
Our guide, Richie, was great! He’s an excellent driver and absolute gentleman who customized the trip to give us plenty of time to take in the amazing, breathtaking scenery. The vehicle was posh and comfy. Our guide Richie gave us space to enjoy the sites on our own but was also at ease on the drive, chatting about Irish history, the local geography, and current events. Because a private tour was a big splurge for us, we researched over a dozen options. We settled on Elegant Irish Tours based on itinerary, cost, responsiveness to email inquiry and Tripadvisor reviews. We picked right and loved our tour!

A Must See for Your Ireland Trip! - A fantastic trip! Our driver (Peter) was wonderful and provided tons of local info along the drive. The Cliffs were beautiful and Bunratty Castle was very interesting. Highest recommendation!

Great trip - Tour was great. Patrick, the driver was very good and shared fantastic stories/info with us. We could have spent more time at Bunratty Castle but the shorter time at Bunratty did allow us to take a ferry ride around the Cliffs. Nice trade off and appreciate Patrick recommending the ferry! Would recommend the tour!!

Michael was a great... - Michael was a great guide! Really enjoyed seeing Bunratty and the Cliffs of Moher — had a fantastic experience. Also, the company was a great help in locating my sister’s purse after she left it on the bus!

Excellent tour beautiful coastline - This is a 12 hour tour that was very comfortable in the sprinter van we were picked up in. Patrick was an excellent tour guide and provided lots of history both ancient and recent. The cliffs were incredible and it was such good weather that we took the ferry and were able to see them from the bottom which was incredible. We also toured Bunratty castle which was also interesting. Ireland is such a beautiful country!!!

Tours are good / skip lunch - Small group experience appreciated. More mobility in and out of locations. The castle and cliffs are worth seeing. The lunch in Liscanoor was not what we expected. We thought we were coming to a town and would be able to pick where we wanted to eat. This was not the case. We were brought to restaurant filled with tourists from multiple Paddywagon buses. No other options were available.

They Canceled on us Last Minute! - This company canceled on us last minute, left us completely stranded. The cancellation was so late that we could not even book another tour in the time allotted and ruined our entire itinerary. Considering we are tourist and have limited time it is very inconsiderate to cancel last minute. Please read other reviews. We were not the only ones with a poor review of this company. Consider this when booking with this company.

Bad experience - We’re picked very late. The guide was informal, the schedule was not followed. Not proper lunchtime provided. There was an unexpected ferry trip, with extra 28 Euros. The visit and lunchtime at the village was cancelled.

Terrible Experience. Driver never arrived. Fraud. Stay away from this Tour provider. - Terrible Experience. Fraud. Stay away from this Tour provider.
The story:
I arrived at the agreed location, Merrion Hotel, on May 4th, 2025, at 8:05 AM. Pickup was supposed to happen at 8:30AM. Prior to this, I had confirmed the meeting point with the tour provider via phone call the night before, due to discrepancies in the confirmation email. See attached picture below. Upon arrival, I waited for the driver, but he never showed up.
At 8:35 AM, I contacted the tour provider to report the driver's absence. The agent I spoke with, "Daniel" (who declined to provide his last name or an agent id), assured me that he would contact the driver and call me back. However, after waiting for 10 minutes without receiving a call back, I dialed again at 8:47 AM. This time, I was informed that he was unable to reach the driver and requested that I wait a bit longer. Two minutes later, I received a call stating that the driver was already at the hotel and that I was not present, resulting in the bus departing without me.
I then called Tripadvisor line at 8:58AM to report the incident. The agent promised to look into the issue and asked to proving evidence that I was at a location at the appropriate time. Luckily, I had a few pictures of a surrounding buildings that I took waiting.
No refund yet... awaiting customer service response. Will follow up on this review upon resolution.
