BRIVIDI - It is the last action of my trip to the Canaries. It is 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon when we head by taxi to the Cicar point near the port. Someone will be here shortly to pick us up and take us back to square one. I take off my swimsuit and put on a shorts and a green T-shirt. Arriving in the right place I realize that maybe getting on a buggy will not be so easy. They just give me a big pink visor all chipped (I immediately ask to change it because wet / sweaty) and a dirty jacket that you can not tell if it is gray or brown (obviously sweaty). No helmet or anything. The first close encounter with the buggy is not exciting, I notice that THERE ARE NO GLASS in front of or from the sides and beyond the seat belt and a net (torn) on the side will save me only the luck and skill of my chief driver. My first thought is: “I always hang on because at the first corner I end up on the ground!” After a long wait we leave (honestly without knowing where we would go). We're in five buggies in an Indian row behind the guide's. We start with the sun and the first stretch of asphalt is easy even if at 60km/h I feel a tremendous wind and the sand begins to get in my eyes despite the visor. After the first half hour (you enter the dirt road) we exclaim: " I feel comfortable on the stones, it reminds me of mountain biking.” You climb more and more (the average speed fluctuates around 30km/h) and I continue to eat sand. At the bottom I suddenly see threatening low clouds and fog and I think “we just miss the rain”. The time to climb more and more on what happens the imponderable: a tremendous downpour, between sand, wind and a sudden frost (at least 10-15 degrees less from the start) that we find ourselves soaked on an indefinite altitude. It's something crazy that I can hardly understand, it's mixed feelings with intense cold chills and my hair is already completely wet. Time to take two photos and you go back towards the final part. I think that within 10 minutes I will have dried completely and between stress and various emotions I have an urgent need to urinate. When we get to the base (after a couple of hours) I literally run to the bathroom and when I look in the mirror I think about how the various Nuvolari and Fangio felt during a grand prix. Completely soiled with sand and dust, it will come out of my eyes until the evening itself and out of my nose until the next day. In the end everything went well..

Really good experience - It can be really dusty, take a face covering. Picked up up on time, good fun, guide spoke English. Buggies easy to drive.

Long live the buggy in Lanzarote - A small group accompanied by a very nice instructor, rather brittle but quiet paths and views of the island from above.

Great fun! - Fantastic fun! Great fun to drive offroad! Beautiful views and fun to see Lanzarote in a new way. Good to have uneasy clothes when you get very sandy. Good organized and nice guide. We are happy to do this again next time we come back to Costa Teguise!

Good tour very poor after service - Tour guide was great, however, we paid the €30 for the video and photos, wouldn’t waste your money on these. We paid the €30 for 2 videos, they didn’t send them we had to chase them, then they kept sending 1 video and I chased them for a week to be told we don’t have your video and said I was over reacting!!! Be mindful
