Perfect day !! - We were contacted several days before our trip to be informed that Rio Celeste access was shut down. We were offered multiple alternatives so we would still have a great day. My family really wanted to do a waterfall / swim so I requested the La Leona waterfall and they were quick to make this happen for us . I had just torn my meniscus just days before our trip and was concerned about being able to do the hike. The company setup an extra guide just to help me which turned out to be a godsend. I can’t tell you about Rio Celeste but I can tell you la Leona was fabulous. If you do la Leona , it is a physically challenging hike where the ground is rocky and uneven . You climb ladders and hold onto ropes at times . That being said , the guides are there to ensure your success . We had 8 people in our group ranging from 17-55 years old and we all loved it . We still did the lunch and the sloth portion of this tour which was fantastic . The tour drivers picked us up at our hotel perfectly on time , were very accommodating throughout . Tip : plan to get wet and dirty , wear shoes that can’t fall off your feet, bring change of dry clothes, bring spare batteries for your phone , rain poncho in rainy season is helpful . . I bought a little waterproof wearable purse that was great . Guides also carry a dry bag. Communication between the company and myself was great prior to excursion. The only thing I didn’t know about is what to do about gratuity , we tipped but I had no idea what was expected or how to go about knowing what was a good amount to tip , also each stop had guides waiting for us , I wasn’t sure if we should have tipped those people along the way as well ?? I Wholeheartedly recommend this company . Probably our best day of the trip !

- Anthony was very knowledgeable and patient with our group. He made sure to give us detail on all the flora and fauna of the rainforest. The views were amazing, and the water very cold!! Anthony also took a lot of pictures.

Waterfall Wonder - The waterfall and plunge bath were lit! The water was crisp at first but after bringing for a couple of minutes it was wonderful. Our personal tour guide was Anthony and he was so detailed. He shared everything about beautiful Costa Rica that he could.

I saw everything I hoped to see from the sloths, the toucans, the exotic butterflies, poison tree frogs, and even tree snakes. Anthony Orbando made our tour EXTRA special. He went above and beyond to make sure that we got to see everything I hoped to see and he was just very fun, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to be around.

Highlight of our trip - This was by far the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Verny was one of the kindest and most gracious people we've ever met. He worked REALLY hard to make sure that we saw all of the animals we possibly could during our time together. He was full of knowledge and it was evident that he loved his country and what he does. Although Rio Celeste was unexpectedly closed when we got there due to an overnight mudslide, he pivoted easily and still made the day a great one. We were able to see sloths, frogs, toucans, monkeys, bats, snakes, and a ton of other animals. Lunch was delicious - very authentic, and also the best food we had while we were there. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Excellent! 10/10 - Allan was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and one of the best guides I have ever had on any tour. I cannot recommend Allan and this tour enough. I will absolutely do it again when I return to Costa Rica.

Quaint, comfortable and personalized - Very personalized and unique. Our guide Bernie was extremely knowledgeable and helped us to see 5 sloths in the wild, 5 tucan birds, 5 eyelash pit vipers, 3 Poison dart frogs and 2 red-eye tree frogs just to name a few of the highlights. He not only gave us tons of knowledge about his country he also made us feel like we were part of his family. We also used this company for transportation to and from the airport. It was also very quaint and comfortable with just my husband and myself in the transportation. When we return to Costa Rica we will definitely be using this company again.

Unforgettable Experience - From the get-go, Verny welcomed us with open arms and made us feel immediately at home in his beautiful country. His genuine passion for wildlife was contagious, and we came across a baby sloth (highlight of the trip), many species of frogs, snakes, and insects. Not to mention, the rainforest and waterfall was beyond breathtaking. The trip consisted of only me and my boyfriend, so we got a private tour and Verny accommodated us every step of the way to match our pace and interests. He also took us to an amazing restaurant (Doña Carmen) and shared a beautiful insight into Costa Rican cuisine. Everyone we came across was so hospitable and respectful of nature, and I hope many travelers bring that perspective back home. What a beautiful way to celebrate my partner and my anniversary together.
