Amazing night tour! - Adrian was a wonderful guide! We were able to go into Manzanillo park after dark. We saw so much wildlife; spectacle owl, turnip tailed gecko, long lines of leaf cutter & army ants, many tarantulas, fruit bats, golden orb weaver spiders and a coral snake! Our guide knew so much about the area, the wildlife as well as local culture. Be sure not to miss this tour!

The dark side - definitely try - Very informative, competent guide, exciting. Can we recommend to get to know the “dark side”. Snakes, spiders, frogs, caimans - all nice animals that you can't easily see during the day.

Night walk with Adrian - I was a bit skeptical about this tour, but I'm super happy I did it. We saw many insects, bats, and a snake while Adrian talked about their habitat and the region. Manzanillo looks like a beautiful park. I cannot wait to go there during the morning.

Wonderful tour for night photographers! - My friend and I joined Adrian for a night tour of Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo. We were there to photograph night creatures, and Adrian helped us understand and see the refuge and its inhabitants in their full glory. Adrian helped us find a wide range of insects, spiders, reptiles, amphibians and crustaceans and get us positioned to take some really interesting pictures. Adrian explained the history and ecology of the refuge and how the creatures we photographed fit into the larger system. Our tour started at the beach and wound our way higher and higher up the side of the hill. I highly recommend this tour and Adrian specifically for anyone interested in night photography and seeing the refuge in a new way.

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE! - Adrienne is a fabulous guide. Kind, caring and calm. He has extensive knowledge and we were fortunate to have spotted 4 snakes - all on leaves!! I can't believe he was able to find them! Bats, tarantulas, wolf spiders, moths, snails - it was wonderful. And turning off the flashlights for a few moments to see the night sky and the fireflys. BEAUTIFUL!

Not Really Worth The Money - I don't think it's really worth the $70 we paid. It's basically a hike in the dark. I understand the guides are at the mercy of nature, but you really don't see anything. Save your money for a day tour where you're not looking at your feet trying not to trip & fall the whole time.
