A Great Wine Tour. - We drove through the beautiful countryside along the Loire River and toured the town of Sancerre, learning all about the wines of that region. It was September and they were harvesting the grapes; it was very interesting to observe that. We got to taste lots of great wines and also learned about the history of the region. We learned to better characterize and describe the wines. Also we sampled several goat cheeses.

Amazing experience in Sancerre! - My fiance and I had such a great wine tour in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume with Nick as our tour guide. Nick was so nice and knowledgeable about the region and wine which made our experience even that better. He was very accommodating when we asked to change the time of our train and still was able to fit in lots of wine tours and sightseeing. We did 4 tastings, all of which were unique and great. The employees at each winery were very friendly and welcoming, and seemed to know Nick personally which added another special touch to our day. The wine was amazing, views were beautiful, and felt like we got a great taste into the Loire Valley. We spent time in Pouilly-Fume, tasted local goat cheese, walked through the town of Sancerre and finished with lunch. I would highly recommend this tour for those who love Sancerre wine and want an informative, fun day in the French countryside! Thank you so much Nick for having us, we really appreciate it.

Great day with Nick from Grapes and Corks! Highly recommend this tour! - My daughter and I had an awesome day on our private tour with Nick. He was waiting for our arrival at the train station, ready to go! We saw the interesting and busy market in town, visited wineries with great wine tastings, toured Sancerre, and the goat farm with the cheeses was amazing. As he drove we discussed grapes, wine varieties and he pointed out interesting sites. He was so knowledgeable about wines and we learned so much. We also had a delicious lunch at a great local restaurant! This tour was a highlight of our trip to France! I highly recommend this tour!!!

Nick Borland, of Grapes & Corks, is the best! - We arranged a two day private tour for two people with Nick Borland : one day visiting wineries in Sancerre and the second day in Pouilly. The communication and set up with Nick was excellent and we visited several wineries, some suggested by us that Nick arranged with the owners, others that he frequented. The locations were excellent and we spent quality time understanding the terroir and wine making processes. Nick picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back, arranging lunch at local bistros. It was heat wave week, with daytime temps exceeding 40'C/104"F. Nick was very accommodating in starting the car air conditioning before we were ready to get in, changing the lunch venues to ensure they were air conditioned. Nick also covers the Burgundy area and we will definitely hope he can arrange our trip there when we plan to visit there.
