Fantastic experience on the Dune buggies - My wife and I went on the Dune Buggy excursion December 2024. We booked the excursion via our Jet2 rep at the hotel and the dune Buggy office was just up the road from our hotel (H10 ocean Suites) so we walked to the office on the morning of the excursion. We arrived around 8:15 a.m. and had to fill in the paperwork and provide our driving license details etc. We actually left on the buggys around 9 a.m. My wife was extremely nervous about this excursion as I was driving and I had never driven on the left hand side of the road before and she was concerned about the actual off-road aspect or the excursion itself. I think she thought I was going to be doing loop the loops like some scene out of James Bond! Anyway so we left the office and luckily enough we were the first out and was directly behind the lead instructor so I could follow him. There was a mile or so of on road driving initially but honestly it's easy and if you've not done it before I wouldn't worry it is straightforward. We then went off-road around a lot of dusty dirt tracks and we really enjoyed it. We just followed the instructor around the track and again the off-road aspect was straightforward and nothing to worry about if you've not done it before. We then proceeded down to the Dunes but just to be aware the buggies themselves do not actually go on the Dunes. you park up by the side of the road and then walk on to the Dunes for some photo opportunities. I've read in reviews that there are people disappointed that the buggies did not actually go on the Dunes but at the end of the day it is a national park and I don't think they want their dunes ruined by buggies. (maybe the excursion operators could make this clear in advance so people know what to expect). We got back to the hotel about midday so it's around three hours from the time of checking in. ( I think there are a longer excursions available with cafe stops etc but we didn't go for that one). We opted for the photo package which cost us €40. The photographer was great and she took brilliant pictures during our buggy trip and she also took some stunning pictures of Us on the sand dunes. The pictures were then sent to us via email about two days later and it also included a video of the whole excursion. ( I supposed it could be a little bit annoying for those who did not opt for the picture package having to wait for those who did opt to have their pictures taken). Just to note, if you are considering this excursion I would highly recommend big sunglasses as I had standard sunglasses on and the dust still got in my eyes on occasions. You will also need a dust mask. You can buy dust masks from their office for €3 each. They also sell goggles in the office but I'm not sure how much they are. I wore a t-shirt, shorts and a pair of crocs and I was fine with these. We booked a double buggy and it cost us £115.58. We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion and despite all my wife's initial worries she really enjoyed it and would do it again.

Best thing we did - Absolutely incredible experience!!
We booked through our jet 2 rep in the hotel and the buggy company came to collect us and brought us back too.
The staff were so friendly, polite, informative and helpful. They go through safety instructions, help you along the way at each stop. We saw the dunes, walked on the dunes for photos, and then went off road for the really fun bit. It's worth noting the dunes are a natural park that you cannot drive on, and I see why, they're beautiful. When we drove off road it was so exhilarating and so much fun. Me and my partner swapped over so we could both drive. Staff provided drinks. It was just so much fun, so glad we did it and I would recommend it to everyone. It's an absolutely amazing time and if we ever come back to corralejo we will do this again.
Thank you ti the staff, the tour guide especially, we had a great time.

Great tour, well organised - We have just finished this tour and having done similar tours around the world this company impressed me. Firstly they offered Cruise Ship pick up for €10 PP which was a big saving from taking a taxi.
The Buggies are much better maintained that you find in the Caribbean (they are road registered and need the Spanish equivalent of an MoT)
There was a support vehicle with spare fuel, jump leads and even a spare buggy in Tow.
The route was very good and included roads, rocky and dusty tracks.
It did quite cold in the mountains so I recommend taking a light jacket or sweatshirt.
2 hours was plenty, we both really enjoyed the tour but after two hours we’d had enough.
The only slight negative to mention was our collection confirmation email mentions to meet at the Repsol petrol station which is “50 metres from the Port”. And yes it is, if your cruise ship docks on that side of the Port, we were on P&O Azura which docks at the other side of the port so when we couldn’t see the Petrol Station we checked Google Maps, the Repsol station was 1.2KM from us, luckily we were still early but the other couple that did this tour that were also on Azura were slightly late.
But other than that everything else was spot on
If we visit Fuerteventura again we would do
this tour again.

Fantastic dune buggy experience - This is a brilliant holiday experience and would really recommend it.The guys that take the tour are professional and really took care of us.we drove on main road to the mountains off road round the dirt paths. Be prepared to get very dusty, it's beautiful scenery, then on way back we stopped at the protected sand dunes , while we took photos the guys refuelled our buggys. Would def say if enjoy bit of adrenaline on ur hols don't miss this out . Good value for money also, u get to see the area, the experience of the staff and they refuel twice!

Buggy tour: Exciting experience with pitfalls - The tour was cool overall and especially recommended for those who have never done anything like this before. However, it should be noted that some things are not allowed when driving, such as drifting. In addition, the tour does not lead directly into the terrain – you have to go there first, which is already included in the tour time.
Attention: For those who are used to power steering only: The buggies do not have power steering, which can make driving a bit more strenuous.
A major criticism is that the organizers do not make the contract, which you have to sign before starting, available online in advance. This contract states, by analogy, that you must be liable for all damages yourself, even if you are not to blame. Therefore, it is important to read the contract carefully on site before signing.

Tourist catch - No point! 2h30 tour including 2/3 on bitumen roads and highways included! Insignificant guides no explanation during the whole tour... save your 149€ go your way!

Dune buggy tour or maybe not!! - I have to agree with a number of other reviews in that its not as advertised. There is no driving on sand dunes other than about 20m long (not on the dunes) which is just for photos. The dunes are just to see and are in the opposite direction to the actual off road part.
There is quite a bit of 'on road' driving, some on dual carriage ways, with a maximum speed of 60kph because they are limited. The route could have been on local roads/off road which run parallel. We did at least 2 loops purely so the photographer could get ahead of us to take photos. Time was also wasted waiting for the people who had paid for photos to have them taken.
We were dissapointed to be honest.
