Phenomenal Tour - best ever! - I cannot say enough about how fantastic our food tour was with Camila! We were lucky and it it was only two of us on the tour, and Camila had Julio assisting her since he was learning the tour himself. Starting with our tour guide, Camila was so friendly and energetic, and shared so many fun details and facts about the places we stopped in or walked by and saw, as welll as the food and culture. We joked that it seemed everywhere we went everyone knew Camila. She made sure we were comfortable and had a good time. We ate and drank SO MANY THINGS! Açaí, both traditional and sweetened, fried bread cheese, fried chicken with traditional sauces, a beef sandwich with cheese and pineapple, cashew fruit juice, a coconut cream liquor, a chicken and cream cheese-like fried snack (coxinha), pastries of our choice at a famous bakery, cheese bread, a local beer, local candies, and a caipirinha cocktail. All while walking through sights in Copacabana, then subway to downtown to see the library, theater, cathedral view, aqueduct view, and other beautiful sights, then tram/taxi to Santa Teresa area with many more great sights including a great vantage point at a park, the Selina stairs and another great vantage point at the top floor of a very nice hostel. It was a jam-packed, super fun and filling 6 hours. Absolute best tour in Brazil that we went on and one of the top food tours across the world we’ve booked (we have been on dozens all over). Thank you Camila!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Delectables delight!! - Fantastic experience with Camila who not only had us try foods the locals eat, but gave us tidbits of history in between bites to help give us a chance to digest the food. And all the food was different surprising and delicious! A true gem of a tour!!

Camila delivers delectable deliciousness! - Holy moly! Delectable, stupendous, delicious! Chefs kiss! Seriously! Took this tour with Camila and she was GREAT! Never took a tour like this. We walked the neighborhood, took the subway, and ubered. All to try foods the locals (that she called “Karyokes” the spelling is wrong I’m sure but that’s what it sounded like) meaning local folk from Rio, ate. My absolute fave was a sandwich with filet mignon, cheese and pineapple. Yes, pineapple. It was DELICIOUS!!! I’ve got to try it out at home. Anyhoo, between bites she told us tons of history bits (giving us time to digest on our way to our next spot). And we saw places not on the tourist agenda, like the library with 4 stories of books on the wall, the opera house, the selaron steps - from the back way. Plus we toured the Saint Theresa neighborhood and got to visit shops and buy gifts. This tour was so much more than I thought it would be and would happily pay to do it again when I return to Rio. Ask for Camila if you do the tour. She’s literally the BEST!

A Must Do in Rio - Highly recommend doing this tour early in your Rio trip. Camilla took us to multiple locations where we sampled many items. Come hungry! Our tour ended up being just my husband and me. Camilla became a fast friend and answered all our questions. She learned about us and our interests so she could point out things we would be interested in. She very patiently taught us some Portuguese phrases we could use. We received a phenomenal overview of Rio and Brazilian culture, saw so many areas of the city, and ate and drank our way through a glorious day.

Best full day food tour of Rio - We had an epic tour with Camila from Gregtur. From local cuisine to hidden local treasures, she thoroughly engaged us with her knowledge of Brazilian history, how the locals actually live, and got us out of the major tourist traps that, while fun, do not give you a close up view as to how wonderful life can be in Rio. I highly recommend her. I have two young adult children - who can be hard to please- and they absolutely loved her. If you want an engaging thoughtful tour guide Camila will teach you a lot while sharing tasty local cuisine spots for you to enjoy.

Memorable, fun experience! - Our tour guide was amazing! Camila was friendly and knowledgeable, giving us an authentic glimpse into local culture by showing us her favorite places to frequent and giving her hilarious and honest opinions. The tour was a great blend of sightseeing, food tasting, and learning facts about the area. Camila even kindly accommodated an unexpected change in plans after illness interrupted our original tour date. It was a fantastic experience—highly recommend!

Camila and this tour are INCREDIBLE! - This tour was so much more than a food tour! We saw SO much of the city today! I would recommend this tour to anyone in the city, we went into the business district and saw the beautiful library, we went on the tram to Santa Teresa. We ate a delicious filet mignon sadwhich, açaí, many deserts and many drinks. Camila is an amazing tour guide, and super knowledgable about the city.

Disappointing and extremely overpriced - We were confused by the tour since it got such good reviews and kind of wonder if we were scammed by booking this. This tour is not worth the cost and was a huge disappointment. Our guide was lovely, but the tour was not engaging, and he was on his cell phone much of the time. One stop was out of the food we went for, and at another he did not know where one of the restaurants was located, so asked a person on the street who then followed us to the restaurant asking for money. Many of the foods we tried were very good, but there was no description of what it is or why we were trying it in several instances. He took photos and said he'd send, never recieved them. There are so many great ways to see the city and experience it, but this was not it. We've done food tours in other countries that were the highlight of our trip, and this was definitely not that.
