• Copacabana Beach - The tour begins at Copacabana Beach, renowned as one of the world’s most famous beaches.
• Morro da Urca - Standing at 220 meters, this hill features the first cable car stop en route to Sugarloaf Mountain.

From Morro da Urca’s summit, enjoy stunning views of the city, including Leme, Copacabana, Ipanema, Flamengo, Leblon beaches, Pedra da Gávea, Tijuca Massif, Corcovado with the Christ the Redeemer statue, Guanabara Bay, Botafogo Bay, Downtown, Santos Dumont Airport, Governador Island, Niterói, Rio-Niterói Bridge, and in the distance, the Serra do Mar and Dedo de Deus peak.

• Sugarloaf Mountain - Ascend in two stages by cable car. The first stage reaches Urca Hill at 220 meters, offering impressive views of Guanabara Bay. After a brief stop, continue to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain at 396 meters, where breathtaking views of Rio de Janeiro await, showcasing why it’s called “The Wonderful City.”

• Escadaria Selaron - Visit the vibrant Escadaria Selarón, a tiled stairway created by self-taught Chilean artist Jorge Selarón. After traveling the world, Selarón settled in Rio in 1983, living in a small house opposite the once-neglected stairway linking Lapa and Santa Teresa. He adorned 215 steps with tiles sourced from Rio’s urban areas or donated by global visitors. Since 1990, Selarón has added over 2000 tiles, primarily red, as a “tribute to the Brazilian people.”

• The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian - As the tour continues, see the Lapa Arches, Lavradio Street, and Avenida Chile. Visit the cone-shaped Metropolitan Cathedral, a significant landmark and modern art masterpiece in Brazil. Its architecture, inspired by Mexico’s Mayan pyramids, symbolizes closeness to God. Four stained glass windows stretch from floor to ceiling, forming a cross at the top, and the acoustics are remarkable!

• Carioca Aqueduct - Located in Lapa, the Carioca Aqueduct, also known as Arcos da Lapa, has served as a tram bridge connecting the city center to Santa Teresa since the late 19th century.

• Boticario Square - Largo do Boticário, in Rio’s Cosme Velho neighborhood, is known for its large neo-colonial houses and lush Atlantic Forest vegetation.

• Parque Nacional da Tijuca - Tijuca Forest, a tropical rainforest in Rio, spans approximately 32 km² (12.4 mi²). The tour includes a stop at Paineiras to board National Park Authority vehicles to reach Corcovado Hill’s summit, home to the Christ the Redeemer Statue.

We assure that the visit to the Christ the Redeemer Statue and to the Sugar Loaf Complex won’t be affected but due to traffic issues and streets closed around the city, some places may be excluded from visitation during the afternoon part of the tour.
