- Ralph Waldo Emerson House - Not all landmarks in Lexington and Concord are from the Revolutionary War era. The area was also home to notable authors like Ralph Waldo Emerson, whose residence still stands today.
- The Wayside Home of Authors - Built in 1700, The Wayside has housed many literary greats. Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women, once owned it, and later Nathaniel Hawthorne, who had the property surveyed by Henry David Thoreau.
- Meriam’s Corner - This seemingly ordinary piece of land was the site of a significant setback for the British. Multiple American militias had a clear shot at this location and opened fire as the British passed, causing heavy casualties.
- US National Park Services-Wayside - Built in 1700, The Wayside became home to several famous figures. The Alcotts purchased the house in 1845, naming it Hillside. Louisa May Alcott later incorporated her experiences there into her classic, Little Women.
- Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House - This 1650 house is where Alcott wrote Little Women in 1868. At Orchard House, you can learn about Louisa May and her family, known for their dedication to abolition, women’s suffrage, and social reform.
- Authors Ridge - Concord was home to many renowned authors, several of whom are buried at Authors Ridge. Thoreau, members of the Alcott family, Emerson, Nathaniel, and Sophia Hawthorne, among others, rest here.
- Lexington Battle Green - The Lexington Common is where the British fired the first shots of the battle, unknowingly setting off a series of events that would lead to their defeat and a prolonged war they would eventually lose. The tour ends here, but additional stops are available if you wish to continue.
- Concord Museum - This museum’s collection delves into the area’s revolutionary and literary history. For those interested in learning more about the town and viewing unique artifacts, a visit is a must.
- Lexington Battle Green - The Battles of Lexington and Concord resulted in 73 British deaths and 174 wounded, while 49 Americans died and 39 were wounded. The American victory provided the colonists with the confidence that they could win a war against Britain.
- Samuel Hartwell House - Ahead on the left are the remains of the home of Ephriam and Elizabeth’s son, Samuel. Samuel, a sergeant in the Lincoln Minute Men, saw action on April 19 and along the road. His wife Mary is said to have helped bury dead British soldiers.
- Paul Revere Capture Site - This is where Paul Revere was captured during his Midnight Ride. Here, you can revisit the full story of Revere’s heroism and how his actions contributed to the American victory in Lexington and Concord.
- Josiah Nelson House Site - At the far end of the visitor center parking lot is a path leading to Battle Road Trail, which runs the length of Minute Man Park. It follows the remnants of the original Bay Road, the route the British took to Concord and back, passing many historic sites.
- Thoreau Cabin Site - Just a mile outside of town, off Walden Street, is Walden Pond, another site of literary history. This is where Thoreau lived for two years starting in 1845, in a cabin he built, gathering his thoughts for his 1854 classic on self-reliance, Walden, or Life in the Woods.

Great audio tour! - This was an excellent audio tour. We only had a couple hours, so really appreciated this tour. The directions were excellent and it was enjoyable to listen to. Easy to navigate as well!!!

Excellent Way to Learn About The Battle - We enjoyed this driving & walking audio tour - very cool how it used your location to sync the right bit of the story! We explored and saw a lot of notable spots in Concord, which we found very charming. Great purchase!

Fun adventure - Did this tour with my two teenage girls and we had a great time. Fun adventure for a girls weekend. With the visitor center at the North Bridge closed, it was nice to have some narrative.

Good tour, innovative system of delivery. - This tour was well done. It took us a bit to figure out where to start, but once we got going, it was informative and thorough. Driving in our own car listening to the program over our sound system was much simpler than taking a bus tour from Boston or hiring and indivudual guide.

Worth the Money - The history was accurate and other than getting lost once it was a fun drive. The narration started automatically when we reached the points of interest. We did not expect this degree of automation and were pleasantly surprised. We did not have to keep our speed constant and could stop whenever we wanted without worrying about missing something.

Good, but have to be aware of speed limits and traffic. - Overall it was a good experience. The main issue is that it is hard to do with traffic and speed limits, which can take away from the experience.

Disappointing - The directions in many cases was non existent. We had to stop and look for places with Google maps. Not easy because we were not familiar with the area. Stories were very informative. We did not do the walking parts, more than expected.

Very difficult to get... - Very difficult to get working- even with an IT person helping. Directions for both walking and driving difficult to follow. Not many back stories.

Lexington & Concord Self-Guided Tour - Spotty internet access in the Concord location rendered the GPS element of the app practically useless. Disappointing, but we made our own way.
