Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa and Minneriya National Park
Sigiriya - After breakfast the following morning, visit the archaeological city of Polonnaruwa. Enjoy a delightful lunch before heading to a national park to observe numerous wild elephants. Later, return to the hotel in Sigiriya for an overnight stay.
Stop At: Polonnaruwa Ancient City
Polonnaruwa is the second oldest of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms. The ancient city is one of the best-planned archaeological relic cities in the country, showcasing the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom’s early rulers. It has been designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Stop At: Minneriya National Park
Minneriya National Park, located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka, was declared a national park to protect the catchment of the Minneriya tank and the surrounding wildlife. During the dry season, large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants, ranging from 150-200 and sometimes up to 700, are drawn to the grass fields on the reservoir’s edges.

Sigiriya to Kandy
Dambulla - After breakfast, visit the renowned Sigiriya Rock Fortress. A village tour can be arranged upon request. Then, drive to Kandy, stopping at a spice garden and a Hindu temple along the way. Upon arrival, check into the hotel in Kandy.
Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress
Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ancient urban planning. The site is dominated by a massive rock column nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Hindu Temple Matale
Sri Muthumariamman Temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility. A prominent feature of this temple is its 55 m (180 ft) high Gopuram (‘Raja Koburum’), a large decorated tower above the main northern gateway (‘Vadakku Veli Veedi’).

Kandy City Tour
Kandy - Kandy is a major city in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era. Nestled amidst hills in the Kandy plateau, the city is surrounded by tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy serves as both an administrative and religious center and is the capital of the Central Province. It is home to The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred Buddhist worship sites, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988.
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, which houses the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. Explore Kandy View Point, stroll around Kandy Lake, and enjoy a shopping excursion at Kandy City Center.
Kandy to Ella
Ella - After breakfast, proceed to Ella via Nuwara Eliya. Travel from Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya) to Ella by train, where the driver will meet you.
Scenic Train Ride: The views on both sides of the rail are breathtaking. The train winds through mountains, overlooking farms, villages, and vast tea plantations. The scenery changes throughout the journey, from expansive green views to woodland forests.
Ella to Yala
Tissamaharama - After breakfast, visit Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. Then, depart for Tissamaharama, stopping at the Ravana waterfalls along the way. Check into the hotel in Tissamaharama and embark on a jeep safari in Yala National Park in the mid-afternoon. Spend the night at the hotel in Tissamaharama.
Stop At: Ravana Ella Falls
Ravana Falls is a popular sightseeing attraction in Sri Lanka, ranking as one of the widest falls in the country.

Stop At: Yala National Park
Yala National Park is the most visited and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka. It combines a strict nature reserve with a national park, divided into 5 blocks, with a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks, and lagoons. Two blocks are open to the public. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including Sri Lankan elephants, leopards, and aquatic birds.

Mirissa
Mirissa - After breakfast, transfer to Mirissa.
Stop At: Galle Dutch Fort
Galle is the capital city of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. It reached its peak development in the 18th century during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in South and Southeast Asia, showcasing the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards. The Old Town of Galle and its Fortifications is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
Upon reaching Mirissa, check into a hotel and spend the night.
