We booked direct with Rishan and it was the best decision we made. - The whole experience with Rishan was superb. We decided to work directly with Rishan and not via a travel agency which was the best decision we made. It could not have been more straightforward. It allowed us with help from Rishan to design our own tour, it allowed us to sample the true Sri Lankan experiences and it allowed us to remain flexible to any alterations or suggestions. We have had friends for example who have gone through a travel agency who have been rigid and only allowed all meals to be taken in hotels which completely misses experiencing the country. I had a prompt email response from Rishan and then switched to WhatsApp for the rest. Rishan was always helpful and prompt to reply. On arriving, Sami our driver was waiting at the arrivals hall with a clear sign and welcoming smile. For the next 12 days we could not have asked for a nicer person to show us the sights. He had a wealth of information and a network of contacts that made organising the various trips simple. Sami’s attitude was so warm and accommodating, his driving was safe and comfortable. We loved trying different fruits and snacks from a variety of roadside vendors. Each evening we confirmed our plans for the next day. Sami wanted to go the extra mile to make our holiday. Sami got job satisfaction in seeing his clients enjoying themselves and having memorable experiences. One example was in Nuwara Eliya. We woke to rain and mist and a train to Ella that may not arrive. Instead he had made a plan to leave the town, drop to Bandarawela to catch a different train that went through Ella to Demodara. This also meant that we would do 9 Arches bridge on the train (it’s beyond Ella). What a choice! I would actually do this hour long journey over the tourist route. Another example was to suggest climbing Ambuluwawa tower-scary but awesome. I could go on with examples and quotes but just to say that Rishan and his team made the holiday. My top tips? 1. Book direct with Rishan and avoid a travel company. 2. Don’t book tours in advance but have an itinary-Rishan will help you construct it. 3. Be flexible to new experiences or add ons that you may not have considered. 5. Trust Rishan to deliver a truly brilliant experience.

Trip of a lifetime - We had the most incredible holiday, all thanks to Rishan and our driver Sami. Rishan helped us plan our trip, giving hotel recommendations and route ideas. Sami then took us everywhere, and showed us his incredible country. If it wasn’t for Sami, we wouldn’t have experienced half of what we got to see, from hidden waterfalls to amazing restaurants, tiny shops and roads to spot elephants on! I could not recommend Sami and Rishan more highly, don’t bother going through travel agents - go straight to Rishan for a trip you’ll cherish for the rest of your life. Our favourite places were Sigiriya and Ella, and we 1000000% recommend doing Minneriya and Gal Oya, where you can do a river safari and see elephants that have hardly any human contact. Anuradhapura was an amazing town, full of history and beautiful monuments.
