Perfectly executed day trip on a long layover! Very professional, organized, and highly recommended - Ricky and HR took great care of us during an extended layover we had at Colombo airport. Note that we originally booked the tuktuk tour not knowing that it did not include airport pickup but the company was gracious enough to arrange an airport pickup (at a reasonable extra charge) to take us to the tuktuk pickup area in downtown Colombo. Another word of advice to anyone booking with them is that in terms of communication, it may not be until closer to your booking that they are more active and responsive so I certainly recommend reaching out via Whatsapp and not just limited to the viator messaging system. HR was our airport pickup driver and he was waiting for us well in advance. We actually ran into some issues and got delayed at the customs arrival desk at the airport. Despite getting out of the airport about a half hour later than anticipated, HR very patiently waited for us and kept us updated on where he was so it was easy to coordinate with him by the time we got out. He then took us downtown to meet with Ricky who was our tuktuk driver. Ricky was very professional, friendly, and gave tons of information on the places we visited and the history that took place. In a relatively short period of time we were able to see a lot, learn a lot, take a bunch of pictures, and make really great memories. The authentic restaurant he took us to was also a big highlight of the tour as well. By the time the tour ended, we met up with HR again (who was kind enough to hold onto luggage for us as it would've been difficult to fit it all in the tuktuk) and we made our way back to Colombo airport for a smooth drop-off. We definitely recommend this tour and this company for anyone who has the time during a long layover and definitely for anyone who is already staying in the area and has time for it. 5 stars!

When in Colombo enjoy the hectic traffic out of your own tuktuk! - We had a lot of fun during our tuktuk city tour. The skilled driver took us to all interesting sceneries and had a lot of historical background to share with us. We learned a bit about Colombo. Its an adventure to drive in the busy city streets, and end up everytime at new interesting points. Lunch was included which is original Sri Lankan food which is very tasty and good. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Highly recommended!

Things you should know - The tour was nice, but there are a few items to note. Exiting the port, there were a few hundred Tuk-Tuk drivers offering an hour tour for $10. There was a lot of drivers with name signs picking up reserved tours. Having to walk the 1 kilometer to the Kingsbury hotel, while fighting other tuk-tuk operators the entire ways seemed ridiculous. Our tuk-tuk guide was about 5’ tall and could easily see out the front windshield. I am 6’ foot and had to bend almost 90 degrees to see out the front. You want to watch where you are going. Second, the lunch was excellent , but very spicy. My wife doesn’t do spicy. There was some language issues as our guide, who was very knowledgeable, accent was very challenging. Make sure you have WhatsApp loaded, since this was the avenue used to contact us as we waited outside the Kingsbury hotel.

Lots of informative photo stops - A really good tour. We went as a couple, but we joined up with another couple; so there were two Tuk-Tuks with a lead and trainee guide/driver (Ricky & Mohamed). The guides spoke Excellant English. We went to many places of interest over 4 hours and had a synthetic lunch included in the price. Our only expense was $2 each to go to one of the temples/museum. It was very sunny, we were given multiple bottles of water. It was quite hard work getting out of Tul-Tuk so many times, but we were thankfully not taken to jewellery shops etc, they were all good informative photo stops

A great trip! - It was great. Our driver, who's name I forgot (begins with S), was excellent - knowledgeable, adaptable and helpful buying mangoes for us too! Points of destination were interesting, but watching life from tuk-tuk was the best bit. Highly recommend.

Solo day trip - What a fantastic tour, it covered everything I wanted to see with flexibility to spend time where I wanted most. Travelling by tuktuk I got to experience Colombo fully, and felt safe at all times. Rishad was a brilliant host, driver, and guide and really knowledgeable and kind. The authentic Sri Lankan meal at the end was the perfect ending, and Rishad helped me find my way back to my hotel as a solo traveller.

Great way to get to know Colombo - Our guide, Sharmilan, was knowledgeable and helpful on the tour and also gave us extra help with other things we planned to do. A very good morning seeing most of the main points of interest in Colombo which gives you a good idea of the city and what you may want to visit for a longer time, like museums, markets.

Anatomy of Colombo - A wonderfully insightful journey around the heart of Colombo. The temples and museums were spectacular and our Tuktuk driver and tour guide Rishad was extremely well informed.
