First, we will see the agricultural plantations of the Guaraní, where sweet potatoes, cassava and corn stand out. Then, we stroll through the village’s territories, getting to know the flora and fauna of the area, see the children singing and having fun with typical dances or admire indigenous handicrafts. You will immerse yourself in the Guarani culture!

After the activities, savor a delicious Guarani lunch prepared in a wood-burning stove by the tribe’s inhabitants.

Additional Information

Experience the welcoming Tenondé Porã community, keen to exhibit their traditions through skilled dance recitals. Despite the adversity faced by city-based Indigenous groups, they kindly permit outsiders an exclusive peek into their existence and heritage.

Upon a ninety-minute journey, you will reach a location home to approximately 1,200 Guaraní inhabitants, who continue to honor their age-old traditions and converse in their native Guaraní tongue.

This community resides on designated land in the far southern reaches of São Paulo city, where they primarily engage in farming for subsistence, ensuring their daily sustenance.

We’ll initially observe the farming zones, moving on to explore the community’s expanse, taking in the harmonic tunes of lively children and their engaging cultural dances, or browsing the intricate handcrafted items on display.

Relish in a hearty Guaraní meal cooked on a wood-burning stove. If time and weather permit, embark on a brief 10-minute boat journey to tour a winery that produces artisanal liquors, wines, and varieties of cachaça, complemented by a selection of homemade confections and cheeses.
