Great adventure! - My husband and I went on a 30 min. ride with Josie as our musher. We had a wonderful experience. Not only did Josie take us over open fields and through the beautiful forest, but she gave us such great information about her dogs, her sledding experiences and sledding competitions. We highly recommend Josie and Trail Breaker Kennels. It was one of the highlights of our visit to Fairbanks.

Dog sledding - It is about 15 minutes only which was a little disappointing but the guide and the rest of their staff provided excellent customer service

You should definitely experience a dog sled ride while you're in Alaska, and this sampler tour is the perfect one! - We loved our 2-mile dog sled run with Josi and 8 of her atheletic dogs! We were whisked down the snowy path fueled by her amazing canine pack and loved hearing stories from her about her 2024 Iditarod race where she won the Rookie of the race award running with 5 of the same dogs that were pulling our sled that day! We took a short break at the half-way point on our ride and switched places in the sled so we both had a chance to be in the front as well as the back. We had a lot of fun and loved seeing the dogs in action doing what they love while we also enjoyed the beautiful snowy scenery!

Great sled dog ride! - I thoroughly enjoyed my 1/2 hour sled ride. Upon check-in, I was offered free use of plenty of heavy coats, snow pants, and mitts. During the ride, I was on the sled with the musher and one other customer. I stood on the back for half of the ride and then we traded places. The dogs were all super friendly. I was able to take a few videos with my phone during the ride. The musher was very knowledgeable and eager to answer all of the questions I threw at him. While I find many of these types of activities to be a little too drawn-out and long, I wouldn't have minded a longer ride. Highly recommended!

Very enjoyable! Would recommend - Fun quick run through both open snowy field and trails through trees. One rider stands in the back, another sits upfront, with chance to take pictures and swap places mid-way. Our musher Miguel was wonderful! Clearly loved his work and dogs. We learned a lot of interesting bits about mushing and the dogs too.

Oh, What Fun! - We looked at several dog sledding options but we decided TBK Sampler fit our needs and budget. Plus I wanted one of their t-shirts! There was a choice of 30 or 60 minutes and it turned out 30 was plenty as the temperature was 8º F and the speedy dogs created some wind chill on top of that! Our musher has raced the Iditarod and was a wealth of information about dog mushing and answered our many questions as we rode along the trails and on the frozen Chena River. I had done a summer dog sledding summer camp ride years ago with a wheeled "sled" that was a lot of fun, but I really wanted to go out in the snow at some point. It was great! We had a nice sunny day and a cup of hot cocoa at the end. Our musher was great! I am so sorry I can't remember her name! I'm sure it will come back to me at some point. I would highly recommend Trail Breaker Kennels for your winter dog mushing experience!
