Awesome time! - What a great time we had. My wife and I had ZERO boating experience but Raj was extremely patient with us and helped us the entire time. He was so awesome and also knowledgeable on all things SXM. Everyone on staff is super friendly and they want you to have a great time. We highly recommend this excursion. If you enjoy having 4+ hours of fun then this is for you!

Great excursion with tons of variety and sight seeing! - My mom and I had a fantastic trip with Rhino Safari and Marlon was a great tour guide and host! We were able to see lots of fish and artificial reefs at the snorkeling destination, watch planes fly into Maho, explore Cupecoy beach and the caves before driving to Mullet Bay for a great lunch and relaxing stay on the beach. We captured so many memories on our cameras and had a great time talking with Marlon. I definitely recommend this excursion! I'd recommend bringing your own snorkel fins if you have them to help with swimming around but they are certainly not required to have a great time.

Great for all boater experience levels - Great experience! Tour guide made it easy for both experienced and first-time boaters to get comfortable with the boats. Super fun time, tasty lunch and perfectly timed pass thru Maho under a huge jet airplane! A truely perfect day.

Recommend The Ultimate Tour & Lunch - Had the amazing opportunity to go out with our guide Raj, he was super knowledgeable and friendly. The tour itself was a blast, those little rhino boats are easy to operate and TONS of fun. The photo package was definitely worth the $30. we went for the ultimate tour with included lunch. The lunch break was an excellent addition to the tour and the food and drinks were fantastic. Had the tour included lunch and maybe 1 or 2 adult beverages each it would have been absolutely PERFECT. having to spend that additional $40 or so after spending $420 plus $6/person for a docking fee. Got very expensive..overall definitely worth it. We will definitely be doing this tour next time we come to SXM.. Tip, bring a waterproof camera as the snorkeling stop had so much to see and experience I wish we could have captured it, however the memories will be forever. Also, DONT FORGET TO put sunscreen on your legs..... ahahha.

Fun ride! - Check in was smooth and we hit all the attractions as advertised. Please wear a hat, sunglasses and have on plenty of sunscreen and bring more to reapply. The tour guides will help pull you back on the rhino, it’s really hard to get back on without help. I wonder if there is a rope ladder or something they could utilize to help save the tour guides backs from lifting people all day? Our guides for the day was Marlyn and we ended up joining up with another group that was doing the same tour because my husband is not a huge fan of snorkeling so we asked to move on from the activity a lot sooner than what was scheduled. Ryan checked with Nick and got the okay for us to join his group. Ryan is a great guide and wonderful asset to the tour company. He gave clear easy to follow instruction and my husband and I were never confused or unsure of what to do or where to go. He was also super kind/ thoughtful of an older couple on the tour with us. He would take them closer to shore and check on them often. The lunch was good and beach was beautiful. I would def recommend that people try this tour at least once. I don’t think I would do it again but I’m happy I did it once.

Guide was really bad. ... - Guide was really bad. Boat needed help and the guide did not look back to see we needed help. It took him 10 minutes for him to realize whole group was not behind him, idiot. He wasted our time and we did not get to do the full experience, only half, no caves. very disappointed.

No Regard for Safety - I think this would have been a fun excursion under different conditions. We made it to the snorkeling sight with no issues. There aren’t many fish in this area, but you do see a sunken helicopter, submarine, and statues. After snorkeling, the water became extremely choppy. It was so choppy that we were unable to go to Maho Beach and Cupecoy Cave. They showed us both spots from far out in the water. At one point the engine fell off the back of the boat of one of the guides. We had to wait quite a while for that situation to be fixed. When we arrived at the lunch spot they had us jump out of our boats and swim to shore through large waves. They told us that once we were in the water we needed to hurry and get away from the boats, which were tethered together. We then had to walk quite a ways down the beach to get to the restaurant. The food was acceptable, but probably my least favorite of my week in St. Martin. Prior to eating, the guides mentioned seeing if another boat or a van could come pick us up because the waves were so large. After we ate we were told we were getting back in the rhino boats. We were uncomfortable with this plan but weren’t given any other options. They told us we were going to need to swim fast to try to get past the swells. Once the first couple reached their boat all hell broke loose. The rest of us were in the water trying to swim through the waves to our boats when the group of 5 tethered together boats came loose from the anchor and started coming at us. The guides were screaming at us to get out of the water and get away from the boats. Everyone kept getting knocked down by the waves. Another lady in the group grabbed my husband by the back of his life jacket and pulled him away from the engine that was headed for his head. Once we all finally got back to shore, the males in the group helped the guides try to pull all the rhino boats up on the shore so they wouldn’t be carried away. One of the guides got a nasty cut on his leg from one of the boats. We then walked back to the restaurant and they sent a car to pick us up and take us back to the rhino headquarters. Everyone in our group felt like they should have ended he excursion after the snorkeling once the water became dangerous. They put us in a life threatening situation. Once we were back our emails were taken so they could let us know about a refund of some sort. We never heard anything. I emailed them a week later asking for an update and got no response. Dont book this! Your safety isn’t a priority for them!

Horrible experience - There is a long list of things that I could write about but the main issues boiled down to our tour guide. The day my partner and I went, the conditions were quite choppy, and in my opinion, we shouldn’t have gone out. For about 40 minutes, we rode giant waves on the sea moving at a slow speed so we wouldn’t feel like we were going to fall off our boat or land too hard and hurt our butts. During this, our tour guide was at a minimum of half a mile from us and was very hard to spot, even though we were the only ones on the tour. We got to the site (which was outside our resort - we thought we were going up to the French side of the island). When we finally caught up to him and told him about our fears with the choppy water, we were dismissed and told that the conditions were safe. There was no instruction about how to navigate these waves or what we may experience when we got out to the ocean. We felt extremely underprepared. Our tour guide gave us snorkeling googles and told us to jump out the side of the boat. He gave us no instruction on how and where to snorkel, what we would be seeing, or what to expect. We then got back in and went to a cave site about 45 minutes back in the direction we came from. Thankfully, the waves were a little better this way. When we reached the caves, we were offered to swim to shore and look inside the caves. The water was choppy here and we didn’t feel comfortable getting out of the boat. We then followed our guide to a beautiful beach where Rosie’s bar was (where we had lunch at). We got BBQ chicken. Our tour guide told us to sit on a lounge chairs on the beach to eat, and then proceeded to the bar to get a drink and sit with a few buddies on the beach. After two minutes of eating, we were approached by a man who wanted to “collect” from us. We immediately got up and moved to the bar area where we stood waiting for our tour guide to come back for 15 minutes. He never came to the bar, so we had to find him on the beach. After finding him and telling him we wanted to return back as we were tired, very burned, and uncomfortable, we were dismissed again and told that it is too soon to return and that he would get in trouble/lose his job if we returned too early. We said that we were the only ones on the tour and that we would tell anyone it was our request to leave early. Finally, he agreed and said we can go wait by the boat and he’d be back in a minute. 30 minutes later we finally left. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get back to the dock when it had only taken 30 minutes prior. He drove us slowly through every bay… it was the only part of the tour we were caught up with him. By time we made it back to the dock, it was the scheduled end time; we never returned early despite numerous requests. We weren’t just a little sunburned - we reapplied sunscreen 4 times on the trip and were in immense pain as we returned back, hence why we wanted to leave early. I have attached a photo. Had we gotten back an hour earlier as requested, maybe we wouldn’t have gotten so burned.
