Sintra and surrounds - This was a well organised tour where we got to see and experience everything in and around Sintra that we were interested in. Ana was open to discussions but it was her local knowledge that was invaluable when planning the day.

A great trip to Sintra - We had a great day with Joāo who was very knowledgable about the area and just all round very nice! All the sights were beautiful, though there was a bit of fog. The climb to Pena palace was a bit steep but worth it!

Great guide and great tour - We arranged the Sintra-Cascais private tour from Lisbon. Our guide, João, was great. He arrived at our hotel right on time. He is full of knowledge on the history of Lisbon, Portugal and especially his hometown of Sintra. We were in a comfortable 6-passenger van, and I was stunned at how well he was able to maneuver it through the narrow, winding streets of Sintra. My husband has mobility issues, and he was very sensitive to it. He suggested a great place for lunch, and was genuinely happy that we invited I’m to join us. We highly him.

Wonderful private tour for couples - We designed our own private day trip from Lisbon to Sintra -Pena palace, monseratte, Cabo de roca, caiscais. The company was flexible and let us design our schedule as we wish. Our tour guide was João and he as the best ! Super knowledgeable, he is passionate about history and his country, very kind and talkative and friendly, and his English is perfect. The car ride was comfortable and he provided us with some water and treats :). It was the highlight of our time in the Lisbon area, and highly recommend this company and João.

Absolutely Fantastic - You Will Thank Yourself for Choosing This Tour! - This is a family run business and it shows. Bruno and his team are exceptional. They were extremely flexible and accommodated all of our needs, which meant accommodating a multi generational family. Before we fully planned the itinerary, they made fabulous suggestions for the best way to avoid some of the crowds and told us about some places to go on our Sintra/Cascais tour that were a little off the beaten path, gorgeous, and less crowded. When two of the monuments we planned to see were closed the day before our trip because of fire danger, Bruno and his team, including his sister Ana who was on vacation but still responded to all our texts, immediately made suggestions for what we could do instead. With our input, they changed the itinerary and made sure we still had a fantastic day which included sharing their tremendous knowledge about what we were seeing and life in Portugal in general. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough.

Good!!!!! - Our private tour with Paulo was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. His detailed explanations about history and historical figures were easy to understand, and his thoughtful care made the whole trip even more delightful. I truly hope more Korean travelers get the chance to experience it. Although it’s an English tour, it’s definitely worth giving it a try. It was a wonderful experience—thank you!

Simply AMAZING :) - Bruno took us on the most beautiful tour around his hometown in Sintra. He was so friendly and wildly knowledgeable about the lengthy history of this incredible place. We have been on many tours this year and he easily made this one my favorite. The side tour to Monserrat to see the palace gardens was out of this world. Thank you Bruno!

An amazing tour to Sintra from Ericeira. - I was looking for a tour with a pick up from Ericeira and found it difficult to find any tour providers who could collect from there rather than Lisbon. So I was delighted to come across Portugal Unknown Tours and myself and my two teenage kids had the most wonderful time! So much so, that my son, who is usually not so keen on full day outings, said it was by far the best excursion he’s been on. It had a lot to do with Bruno, the tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and could tell us a lot about the places we visited. Bruno was also a very courteous driver and his friendly manner made us very relaxed and welcome. The price was also very affordable and definitely very good value for money. If you’re looking for a hassle free way to explore new places of interest I would highly recommend Portugal Unknown Tours, you will love it!

Great tour - We toured two monuments and then worked our way to Cascais stopping at several coastal view points. Our guide Joao was a knowledgeable young man and a very safe driver. A++

Overal, Good Tour - Our guide Jon was a charming young man. We did the private tour Sintra and is was a good way to get around and learn some of the history. Our guide did not go inside with us most times ( bc of parking). We stopped at a place he booked for lunch, which was good as well.Overall, good private tour.
