You’ll have a chance to taste Pacific Oysters and the Native Coffin Bay Angasi Oyster.
You’ll also have a hands-on shucking lesson where you will learn to shuck your very own oyster.
You’ll have the chance to ask lots of questions, and by the time you leave you’ll be an oyster officionardo!

- Wear comfortable clothing as you’ll be putting waterproof waders on over the top of what you wear. Bring a camera to capture the experience, and a pair of socks to help you get into/ out of the waterproof waders. As we will be out in the water, please dress according to the weather conditions on the day. i.e. if it’s hot, please bring a hat; for cooler weather, bring a jacket. In winter, you may choose to wear a scarf and a beanie.
- Coffin Bay is a beautiful seaside town in a rural setting, famous for world-class oysters and hosting an abundance of wildlife. We regularly see seals and dolphins during the tour, while Kangaroos and Emus can often be seen wandering down the main street. If you’ve not already arranged accommodation, we recommend staying right in Coffin Bay, rather than Port Lincoln.

Oyster tour - Great Tour,we waded out to pavillion in waders,drinks were served(extra cost)(chilled).
Given a talk on oyster production.taught how to shuck the freshest oysters with knife and glove,waded back to shore,great experience well worth it!!! AAA+++

Amazing even for non-oyster eaters - Beyond expectations! It may have been the other people participating that added to the fun, but not only was the staff leading the tour were amazing, but all of the staff at the restaurant. We had a child that was autistic on the tour and they were so amazing with him. Also, probably 1/3 of the participants weren’t oyster eaters and they still had a blast! Options for those who don’t eat oysters, but want to experience. Highly suggest treating this as a fun appetizer experience and booking a table at the restaurant after.

Interesting tour worth joining - Highly recommended the oyster farm tour, Interesting experience! must try if going to port Lincoln. The tour guides, Paris and Jasper, were professional and helpful. we stayed there for lunch after the tour. The oysters were so FRESH!

Very enjoyable... - It was a fantastic day weather wise and we enjoyed the tour very much...we don't eat oysters so the staff packed them up for us to take away...one thing to make it better would be to supply stubby and wine glass coolers to help keep drinks cool...

A must for Oyster lovers! - If you are someone who loves oysters, then if you are visiting Coffin Bay this tour is a must. It’s a couple of hours learning some Coffin Bay history and a quick overview of how oysters are farmed.
Pull on the provided waders and splash out into the water to a pontoon where you are given the info, shown how to shuck and then given half a dozen fat juicy oysters to shuck and eat! Bliss! Fresh, rinsed in the crystal clear water of the Bay - deelish! !
Special thank you to Melissa who conducted our tour - friendly, cheerful and ready to answer any questions - and after shucking 40 doz oysters earlier in the morning, she was some teacher!
Totally recommend this tour.
