• Cody - The journey begins and concludes here, starting at 6am and wrapping up around 4pm.
• Chief Joseph Scenic Highway - Revel in the breathtaking views of the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, with stops at notable spots like Dead Indian’s Pass and Pilot Peak. Near the Wyoming-Montana border, there are excellent opportunities to spot wildlife such as Moose, Grizzly Bears, Coyotes, and Mountain Goats.
• Yellowstone National Park - Discover the wonders of Yellowstone National Park! The tour enters through the less crowded Northeast gate and exits via the east gate approximately 9 hours later. Get ready for an exciting adventure!
• Lamar Valley - Prepare for exceptional wildlife viewing in Lamar Valley, known as the ‘Serengeti of the West.’ Frequent sightings include Black Bears, Grizzly Bears, Grey Wolves, Moose, Pronghorn, Mountain Goats, Mule Deer, and more.
• Tower Fall - Visit the iconic Tower Fall waterfall, a subject of 19th-century artists’ paintings that contributed to Yellowstone becoming the world’s first National Park. This is also a convenient stop for restrooms, gift shopping, and outdoor dining.
• Mount Washburn - Travel over Dunraven Pass from Tower Junction to Canyon Village. Pause along the way to look for abundant Black Bears, and at the summit for Bighorn Sheep sightings. It’s also a prime location for viewing Wildflowers!
• Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone - Pause at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to admire the awe-inspiring Lower Falls.
• Hayden Valley - Be on the lookout for herds of Buffalo, Elk, Grey Wolves, and more in Hayden Valley as the tour progresses along the east side of Yellowstone National Park, returning to Cody. This is a renowned spot for regular Bison crossings.
• Fishing Bridge General Store - Take a brief stop at Fishing Bridge Visitor Center for a final restroom break and a chance to shop for gifts.
• Pahaska Tepee - Visit the original hunting lodge of Buffalo Bill Cody at the Pahaska Tepee, when open.
• Buffalo Bill National Scenic Byway - Travel along what President Theodore Roosevelt called the “most scenic drive in America” and the nation’s first national forest, the Shoshone National Forest. Often, as much large wildlife is seen on this road as inside the park.
