- Mutianyu Great Wall - Arrive at the meeting point using your own transportation and present your reservation to the staff wearing a green vest. They will assist you in boarding the bus, which will then depart for the Mutianyu Great Wall (approximately 1.5 hours drive). During the trip, the bus guide will provide information on how to explore the Mutianyu Great Wall and help you with ticket reservations, including the optional Great Wall Cable Car.
Upon arrival, collect your ticket and take the internal shuttle uphill to start your exploration. You can choose between the east-line tour, west-line tour, or both. Enjoy 4 hours of sightseeing before the bus tour guide leads you back to the parking lot for the return trip to Beijing.
- Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - Next, visit the Summer Palace. Follow your guide through the garden and learn about the history and stories of the buildings, including the life of the famous “Dragon Lady.” Enjoy 3 hours of sightseeing.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to Olympic Park.

Meet your guide at the designated meeting point. Upon arriving at The Mutianyu Great Wall, you’ll have a more relaxed experience, allowing you to fully appreciate this magnificent structure and the surrounding hills. Take the cable car or ski lift to the Wall, then spend about 1.5 hours hiking through various sections. After your hike, you can opt for a fun toboggan ride back down. Mutianyu is slightly more rugged and less crowded compared to the more famous Badaling. Following the drive from the Great Wall to the Summer Palace, you’ll enjoy pleasant views and a cooler summer climate. Begin by exploring the Palace Area to see the opulent lifestyle of the Imperial Family, then stroll through the world’s longest corridor adorned with paintings. If available and at your own expense, you can board an Imperial Ferry Boat on Kunming Lake to take in the breathtaking scenery of this expansive Imperial Garden, which was a birthday gift from an emperor to his mother nearly 300 years ago.
