  • Boca Da Corrida Viewpoint - Continuing along local and agricultural paths we reach 1000 meters of altitude, at Boca da Corrida with a superb view of Curral das Freiras, Eira do Serrado and the mountains of the central massif

It is in Camara de Lobos that we begin with a visit to the fishing village, also known as the village of Winston Churchill, ex. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, having visited it in 1950. Continuing along local and agricultural paths we reach 1000 meters of altitude, at Boca da Corrida with a superb view of Curral das Freiras, Eira do Serrado and the mountains of the massif central. Among some off-road trails and agricultural paths, we saw apples, cherries, vegetables and the famous Madeira vineyards and the well-known liqueur Madeira wine. Arriving at Cabo Girão, where the view is incredible over Funchal and Câmara de Lobos, stand on a glass platform 589 meters above the sea, considered one of the highest cliffs in the world. And if that wasn’t enough, we finished with a visit to a Madeira wine cellar to taste the famous Madeira wine, known throughout all corners of the world.
