5 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steve! - Absolutely Fantastic experience! Would definitely recommend, It was organised down to the last minute. We had the great pleasure of meeting Steve, who was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He deserves a payrise (especially after having to deal with some unappreciative guests) !! Thank you so much for a fabulous day and if we are ever back in town we will visit 5star Steve!! From the Brits, Sam & Dave xx

Fantastic Day - What an amazing day. From start to finish our driver and tour guide Steve was amazing It was a long drive but the time in the bus went really quickly with music, snacks, drinks, and facts about the areas we were passing through. All 3 sites we visited were amazing, loads of photo opportunities. I would really recommend this trip and Steve the guide!

Day trip to hollywood - The communication from the owner was very good, messaged a couple of days before to check all OK, the driver messaged on the day. Pick up on time, our driver Steve was amazing. Mini bus was clean, comfortable, right temperature, snacks and drinks great. Running commentary throughout with a very knowledgeable array of facts and things of interest. Steve went above and beyond for us, felt like a best friend from pick up to drop off.

If you pay for a guided tour, you should expect a guided tour, not just a tour. - Let's start with the positives. While the drive to LA from Las Vegas is a full 3 1/2 to 4 hours, we took the trip in a very comfortable, well air conditioned vehicle with Wifi. We also made plenty of stops for snacks and bio breaks, so no one was ever hungry or uncomfortable. We did everything on the itinerary. The timing of lunch was great, no waiting around for food. The meal was actually better than I anticipated, but I would still recommend ordering something simple so you can't be disappointed no matter what you order. And I got back to Las Vegas before 9pm. With other drop offs, I bet everyone was back at their hotel by 9:30, leaving either plenty of time to get a full night's sleep, or a few hours left to enjoy the many evening activities Las Vegas has to offer. Now for the reasons I am only giving this tour 2 stars. First, our guide, José, texted while he drove for the entire trip. Even on the way back when we hit a sand storm, rain storm, wind storm, and a lightning storm (which, apparently, can happen all at once in the desert.) I actually would have thought the experience of driving through that would have been really cool had I not been so anxious about our driver texting while the van was literally shaking from the wind. I've taken many day tours in many countries, and I think they should all start with the guide introducing themselves to everyone once the whole group is in the bus. This gives a chance for all travelers to introduce themselves, to greet one another, and for the guide to share that questions are welcome. That didn't happen this tour. As a result, everyone sat silent for the whole tour, not engaging at all with the guide. Where the content of the tour was concerned, this tour consisted of many wasted opportunities. Instead of letting everyone rest and slowly wake up between pick-up, and the first rest stop, we had a different guide drive us for the first hour (something about Department of Transportation regulations on how many hours one person can drive.) He was much better than our guide for the rest of the day, really filling the time well. The problem there was a majority of his content was about stuff to do in Las Vegas. Everyone already has their plans made and booked. We didn't need a fast-paced run-down of things to do between 6 and 7:30am before everyone's even had their coffee. Especially when that would have been a great time to let everyone doze, wake up slowly, and then really get to know the guide who would be spending most of the day with them. Then, when we regrouped with our guide for the rest of the day, we got very little information, the times he was on the mic speaking to everyone were few and far between (even when the mic was working) and the information he did share wasn't about LA. It felt like someone had written up several facts for him to recite about the little towns we passed through, rather than us listening to a proper guide who's really well-versed about the region. He also filled more than an hour of time with a documentary only about the cement celebrity handprints in front of the Chinese Theater in LA. It was way too much time spent on such a specific thing when there's so much to talk about before visiting the city. Even when we got to LA, the only things he pointed out were a couple of places where famous movie sequences were filmed, or places where famous people died. And in the three or so hours we were in LA, he only did this a handful of times. Nothing about different neighborhoods, the history of the city, current events, other things to do there if people were to come back, etc. On the way back, it was as if he thought the tour was over the moment we started to head back from LA. That would have been a great opportunity to spend a couple hours debriefing what everyone experienced, answer questions, and talk about things that weren't covered in the morning. It's also a chance to talk more about Las Vegas, and the surrounding area, since we were returning there. I think that would have made more sense than to try to talk Las Vegas as we were leaving the city. Our guide instead played (very loudly, too loud for anyone to nap if they wanted) two movies to fill the time on the entire ride home. It was disappointing when I had so many questions, but I lacked confidence at that point that he would be able to answer them any better than my own Google searches. It was a good thing for me the bus had Wifi. Overall, if you are the type of traveler who doesn't really listen to the guide, you want a taste of LA while you're out this far West, and you want the chance to take some great photos for your Instagram story, this tour may be a good fit for you. But I was hoping for a guided tour, to learn about a place I've never visited and the region around it on the way there. I was hoping for an engaging experience that allowed me the chance to connect with other travelers and our guide. Instead, I got to see LA, I got my taste, and I question whether I would have been better off buying a $50 round trip plane ticket from Las Vegas and Ubering around to the same spots. The cost would have probably been cheaper, and I don't think I would have learned any more or less without a guide there at all. If you want very different things from a tour, please don't let this sway you. But if you're like me, and you want the guided tour experience many other companies in Las Vegas offer (and do very well for a much lower price- I took a guided tour that was actually even longer than this one earlier this week for over $100 less than the cost of this tour), I would not recommend this tour.
