Roman nobility, including the Emperor, resided here, with views of the chariot races from their palaces.
• Colle Capitolino - The Capitoline Hill is the smallest yet most significant of the seven hills of Ancient Rome. As the political and religious center, it symbolized Rome’s status as Caput Mundi, the world’s capital. Today, visitors can admire the elegant piazza designed by Michelangelo during the Renaissance. From the hill’s rear, there is a stunning view of the Roman Forum.
• Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II - Officially named the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II, this grand white marble monument in Piazza Venezia honors Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of a united Italy.
• Pantheon - Constructed over 1800 years ago, the magnificent Pantheon remains a testament to the grandeur of the Roman Empire. The name Pantheon reflects its original purpose as a temple for all gods. The building is renowned for its exquisite coffered dome, a remarkable architectural and engineering feat, featuring a large oculus at its center.

PLEASE NOTE: Viewing the Pantheon from the outside is free. As of July 2023, a ticket is required to enter the interior, costing 10 euros per person. If you wish to visit inside, please request a reservation.

• Trevi Fountain - Believe it or not, Trevi Fountain is still supplied by an ancient aqueduct, the Aqua Virgo, built in 19 BC. This elaborate Baroque fountain by Bernini, a masterpiece of mythical figures in travertine, is the world’s most recognizable fountain.
• St. Peter’s Basilica - St. Peter’s Basilica is located across the Tiber River from Rome’s historic center. The site is highly symbolic, as it is where Saint Peter was martyred and buried in 64 AD. The grand church, with its stunning dome designed by Michelangelo, houses numerous artworks, including Michelangelo’s renowned Pietà. At this stop, there will be time to view the church and piazza from the outside; entry into the basilica is not included.
• Monumento a Garibaldi - The lush Janiculum Hill is adorned with monuments to Garibaldi and his makeshift army, who fought valiantly for Italian unification here in 1849. The Italian hero is honored with a grand monument in Piazzale Giuseppe Garibaldi, while his Brazilian-born wife, Anita, has her own monument about 200 meters away in Piazzale Anita Garibaldi. Anita succumbed to malaria, along with their unborn child, shortly after the siege.

• As you’re driving around, our drivers will share facts and history of the places and monuments to be visited. Note that drivers in Italy are not permitted to share information once you have exited the vehicle, nor can they accompany you on foot.
• This is a shared service with minimum participation required for the tour to run. There is the possibility of cancellation after confirmation if we don’t have minimum numbers. In this case, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
• This is a shared tour and you will be expected to maintain the pace of the group. If you have limited mobility, we suggest booking a private tour.
• The order of the sights may change due to traffic, road conditions, etc.
• Being a shared tour, it’s important to respect the time allotted at each stop by your driver. We kindly ask that you return to the vehicle at the appointed time so that we can stay on schedule.
• Children 0-5 years old must seat properly inside the vehicle. Please specify this detail if you have a child in the group so we can provide for a car seat.
