Great food tour in Civitavecchia - Matteo chose wonderful foods to taste on this walking tour. He is very knowledgeable and shares many details about the culture of this region. It is a very relaxing walk around the city and we would highly recommend you book this tour.
Arrive hungry as the food portions are generous and the small group size made this a truly wonderful experience for all participants.

3-Hour Civitavecchia Cultural Walk & Food Sampling Tour - 10/16/2024 Norwegian Escape traveling with Dorothy Gladsjo we booked the 3-Hour Civitavecchia Cultural Walk & Food Sampling Tour with Mattao and Omar. It was FANTASTIC!! The walking tour was easy. The tour has six stops all with amazing foods all along the way Mattao sharing the cultural traditions emphasizing the love of food and gathering together. I loved how he shared how important Nona is to the family. This has been one of my favorite excursions in our 10 day cruise. I highly recommend it!

Relaxing local Culture.... easy on the feet (for a walking tour!) - This tour is awesome if you've already been to Rome (or its just to crowded) and are looking for something relaxing to do in Civitavecchia this walking tour is the one. Our guide may have been the best I have ever had. A 24 year old local who's enthusiasm for his home and culture is inspiring. He leads you on your journey through local favorites from pastry to gelato........ bon appetit!
Book early, this is a small group tour. Its intimacy is is a big part of the enjoyment!

Walking tour of Civitaveccia with food sampling - Omar, our guide, was great, very friendly, great English, lived locally so was very knowledgeable and knew the places we eat at. The food selection was perfect, a wide variety of local foods in local restaurants. We strolled at an unhurried pace. Everyone got their questions answered. He also took some great photos.
Overall we (my wife and I) were very pleased with our experience
