Join our morning tour of the historic neighborhood market in Tsukiji. You have probably heard that the wholesale fish vendors have moved — But this part of town is still one of the best food areas in all of Tokyo, home to delicious restaurants and market shops, some dating back over 100 years or more! Taste specialties from the area; things you simply cannot find anywhere else. We know all the hidden gems and will make sure you have a chance to taste the many flavors that make up the heart and soul of Japanese cuisine.
Visit the 65 specialty vendors who decided NOT to move to Toyosu at the wholesale building. They have remained in Tsukiji in a custom-made facility great for workers and visitors alike. We can often see the whole Tuna being prepared for selling. We will try fresh sashimi, and see the best of what is in season this time of year. Join a tasting session where we try new and unique food every time we tour! You will not find this on any other Tsukiji tour!

A great tour with very knowledgeable guide! - I've been to Tsukiji before, but never saw it like this! Our guide, Yappy, was great! He knew the market inside and out, and took us places we would have never even know existed. Among a whole bunch of things, we tasted black cod, fresh oysters and without a doubt the best tuna I have ever had. We started with an introduction to a Buddhist temple and ended with a great picnic made up with a bunch of goodies from the market. Thank You Yappy for a great morning!

Amazing food tour of Tsujiki Market. Highly recommend the tour and Arigato. Professional to the max. - Absolutely amazing experience. Our guide Tappy was wonderful with in-depth knowledge of the market and Japan as a whole. He took us to some out of the way spots that we would have never found on our own. We had incredible sushi and other delicacies throughout the market. I highly recommend not only this tour but others we enjoyed through Arigato. Jessop was an exceptional travel agent who made the process seamless and helped put together an incredible itinerary with detailed day to day excursions, advice and suggestions. He also made himself and the company available throughout our stay in Japan, checking on us every day to make sure we were doing well and if we needed anything. I can't thank them enough and look forward to using their services again.

Pretty Special Experience - This was truly a superb tour, and Makki our guide was fantastic. I wrote a long , and very positive review and posted it on the wrong tour review. Sorry because that tour, and evening tour in Shinjuku was mediocre, at best.
We are pretty active travelers, having visited over 70 countries and often take one tour per trip, a food tour of local cuisines. This tour is in the top 5 and Makki is one of the best guides we have experience.
Go and be willing to try new things and eat what you never thought you would. Well worth the time and money

Awesome family time tour - We had an awesome time on this tour. We got to try a little bit of everything and got to experience the market as a true local. They did a great job customizing the tour to got the need of my teenage kids.

Fantastic Introduction to Japanese Food with a Great Guide - This was a fantastic introduction to
Japanese food. We are complete novices on Japanese food and our guide, Trevor, introduced us to lots of lovely dishes that we
would never have tried. One of us has a shellfish allergy and Trevor was so careful to keep this in mind when recommending options. Overall, this was a fantastic experience with a very knowledgeable and
personable guide, Trevor. We would recommend highly.

Highly recommend! - My parents and I really enjoyed the Tsukiji market tour with Sandra and Makki! This was one of the things I was looking forward to in my first visit to Japan, and I am glad to have done it -- not only do we get to try the sumptuous seafood (which of course was expected), we also get a primer on both the history and culture surrounding this humble little market. I guess we were also lucky to have both Sandra and Makki along as they're able to provide both a foreign and native perspective to the experience. As a result, we enjoyed Tsukiji so much that we visited the place 2 more times on our own just to make the most out of our brief stay!

An amazing experience - Kay is a gifted tour leader. She struck up a strong rapport with us and quickly worked out our interests. She guided us around the market picking out delicious local delicacies for us to experience. The oysters were amazing. She added thoughtful touches to the tour and we learned about the Japanese language and customs as well as the cuisine culture. At the end she provided a wonderful picnic of some of the food she had picked with us and it made a lovely ending to a memorable morning. Initially we had not been sure about the tour but Kay made it one of the best things we have done on our holiday so far.

Tsukiji Breakfast Tour - We spent half a day with our guide, Lucas, around the fish markets. We ate traditional Japanese breakfast at the market, and also with Lucas’ guidance we purchased food direct from the fish market stalls to eat as a picnic on the market roof garden. It was an exceptional 3 hours. We learnt so much and had the best time. We can’t recommend Lucas highly enough. He is professional, knowledgeable and likeable. A great guy who really went the extra mile to make our morning special.

Great guide and good food! - There were five people on this morning's tour through the Tokyo Tsukiji Market. Hi, praise for our guide, Sandra, who gave a great overview of the market and Japanese food and meal practices.. We started with a sit down meal at one of the market stalls. Then she navigated through the markets, sharing info as we walked, and bought a variety of foods and fresh fruit that we enjoyed as a picnic.
