- Otira Viaduct Lookout - Then drive down to Otira Viaduct which provide impressive views of red flowering rata in summer months & grab the opportunity to spot the inquisitive Kea (alpine parrot) well known for its cheeky nature.
- Devils Punchbowl Walking Track - Your guide will then recommend you some popular walks in the National Park with incredible views.
- Arthur’s Pass National Park Visitor Centre - After your walk enjoy 1 hours free time for lunch at a local cafe & explore the village of Arthur’s Pass.
- Kura Tawhiti Conservation Area - On your return journey, travel by road in a luxurious minivan with a few scenic stops on the way. Take a coffee break & capture stunning mirror images at Lake Person. Then wander through majestic presence of limestone rock formations at Castle Hill Conservation Area. Stretch your legs one last time at Lake Lyndon that regularly freezes in winter months. Return back & drop-off to your location in Christchurch.

An unexpected experience of a lifetime - The scenery was beautiful and breadth taking. The tour was well laid outwith the right number of stops and sights to see. The guide was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful.

A splendid day - This was a wonderful way to see the splendor of the Canterbury plains and the ascent into the Southern Alps at Arthur's Pass National Park. We experienced the natural beauty of the countryside by train, minibus and foot. It was an awesome experience, excellently orchestrated by our driver Anuj, who was highly capable, considerate, informative and friendly. Thank you Anuj!

Better than just the train journey - It was a fun experience. Anuj was very knowledgeable, and he made the whole journey fun. We did a part of the journey on the train and the rest by road. The highlights for me were the lookout points and the hidden gems Anuj highlighted. The hikes that were recommended were breathtaking. 10/10.

Brilliant day out - An amazing day out! Beautiful scenery and a great experience exploring the mountains. Our guide (Anuj) was considerate, kind and shared so much knowledge and information about the area. It was money and time very well spent!

Amazing tour with awesome guide!! - One of the best guided tour!! They have been sending timely communication about the trip that really helped avoiding any confusion. Anuj is the best guide I have had so far in any of the guided tour. Learned so much about New Zealand. Must recommend him to anyone looking for a NZ tour which they offer.

Wonderful way to travel - We traveled from Greymoth to Christchurch on the dining car . It was a lovely relaxing way to travel . The audio guide was informative and delightful. The attendants were pleasant and responsive to any need. The food was overall very good. There was wine and hot drinks. We loved the experience

It is a relaxing journey.... - It is a relaxing journey. First of all, you can enjoy the scenic view outside the large windows of the train. After leaving the train, can enjoy the nature walk at Author's pass with multiple selections available. Then have an hour lunch in tower with the Kea standing nearby. Last but not least, visit couple of sites on the way back to Christchurch. This trip is a good option if you are looking to spend your day leisurely.
