• Canterbury Region - The journey begins by departing from Ōtautahi Christchurch, famously known as New Zealand’s Garden City. As the tour heads north towards Kaikōura, the experienced guide will highlight some of the central city attractions and share interesting facts about the broader Canterbury region.
• Cheviot - The first stop is in Cheviot, a hidden treasure along one of New Zealand’s largest coastal routes. It’s an ideal place to stretch and recharge. After a short break, the tour continues through the breathtaking Hundalee Hills, where there are opportunities to see surfers and local wildlife, including seals! The scenic drive provides stunning views throughout the journey.
• Kaikoura - The tour’s highlight! Upon reaching Kaikōura, the guide will lead the group to enjoy a traditional Kiwi fish and chip lunch. Afterwards, the guide will offer several options to make the most of the day. For those interested in exploring the township, there is a unique and diverse selection of local shops to enjoy. Guests can also take a leisurely walk along the Kaikōura Peninsula to observe local wildlife, such as New Zealand Fur Seals, various seabirds, and occasionally a dolphin pod if lucky! Other options include visiting Mangamaunu Bay, a popular surfing spot with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Alternatively, arrangements can be made for whale watching (by boat or air), dolphin watching, or kayak and eco-zip experiences for the group (booked and sold separately).
• Waipara - If Time Allows: Waipara - If time permits, a stop at Waipara, a famous wine region surrounded by lush vineyards and green hills, will be made. Here, visitors can sample a selection of locally produced wines from a family-owned vineyard. For those who prefer, beer and non-alcoholic options are also available! • Christchurch - Christchurch - After an amazing day in Kaikōura, the tour returns to the Garden City. Relax and unwind after a day filled with stunning landscapes and wildlife encounters. With a camera roll full of memories, this day will surely be one to boast about!
