Fantastic Experience - A fantastic way to spend a few hours in Christchurch getting to know the history, the culture and enjoy some great food. Riwai was a brilliant host full of warmth and great stories which really added to the day. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable trip in good company. Highly recommed! - Ashley started our tour with some Maori history and some Maori greeting practices that helped us understand the culture of the land more fully. She then took us to two outstanding restaurants where we got to enjoy some of the best of Christchurch. Ashley is a great conversationalist who kept us both entertained and informed. We would highly recommend this company and this experience to any traveler!

Superb food and cultural walking tour! - Truly enjoyable, interesting and varied walking tour at a leisurely pace. Ashley, our guide was very knowledgeable, happy and friendly. The food was amazing and the cultural introduction to Christchurch was superb. I definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour to do in Christchurch if you want a personal touch. - Had a great time with Ash as our guide. We were fortunate as there was only my wife and myself. She did an amazing job explaining the history of Christchurch and also New Zealand. She also detailed the aftermath of the earthquake on the people and businesses of Christchurch. She has great tastes in selection of food and the shops she took us to taste test. Would never had gone to the ice cream shop in winter but omgoodness enjoyed all the taste tests and final selection. Ash was also great as she shared person / family experience. It felt like my wife and I became part of the family which we appreciated greatly. Ash is a very talented guide and excellent orator. She is very flexible as to how the tour is run and what shops are visited. She really tailored the tour to things we wanted to find out about. Thanks you so much Ash. T & M 🤓

WONDERFUL! - This was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide, Ash, was wonderfully engaging and we felt embraced by her. The food was great, but the conversation was even better. She invited us into a Maori welcome and then into the stories that she was learning about her culture. We left with a greater understanding.... and full stomachs. I HIGHLY recommend this tour.

We Loved Our Food Tour! - We enjoyed our tour over lunchtime with Ashley in March. My husband and I were running late, and Āmiki Tours accommodated our arrival. I would recommend timeliness for all tours, but we were incredibly grateful to the team for adjusting to our arrival. We were fortunate that we were the only two on the tour, otherwise, I don't think the adjustment would have been possible. I am thrilled we didn't miss out! Ashley was a fabulous guide. We had a great time with her. She was knowledgeable and shared a tremendous amount of information about Māori culture and the Christchurch area. Her enthusiasm and passion for the city and the food were evident, and it was clear that Āmiki has developed strong relationships with vendors throughout the area. We feel like we learned so much about Christchurch in the little time we were able to spend there. We'd love to return, and scheduling another tour with Āmiki is definitely on the list!

Good tour that’s worth doing - We really enjoyed the walking tour of Christchurch with Ash. She was engaging. A little Māori culture, a little Christchurch history, we tasted chocolate then lunch and drinks and Gelato to finish. Very enjoyable. I probably would have preferred more small food tastings than sitting down for lunch, but that doesn’t take away from a very good tour that’s just my preference.

Fantastic!!! - A tour through the corners of the city's history and culture. The fantastic guide, helpful and attentive. Very knowledgeable about the story to tell us, the Maori culture and the dishes tasted. Particular attention to my not mastering the English language, speaking slowly making it easier to understand. Even if you were to stay in the city only a few hours it is worth taking this tour to learn a lot about the history and culture of the city.
