Amazing tour - This tour was amazing as a LOTR fan. But even if you're arent a fan. Its still an amazing tour because of mesmerizing beautiful landscape. Our guide was amazing very knowledgeable and accommodating. So its a must for LOTR fans and non fans.

Day trip to Mount Sunday was incredible! - Our operater, Hassle-Free Tours, was outstanding. They get access to spots that other operators don't get. Such as the movie parking lot for parking which is significantly closer than the public parking lot. Also our picnic lunch at the lodge with an incredible view. We have to give a special thanks to our driver/guide, Cheryl, she was absolutely amazing and made this special journey even more special! The trek to the top of Mount Sunday was a bit of a challenge. Especially in the winter when the paths become a little muddy and slick. But the views from the top are worth every bit of effort. We got very lucky with a beautiful day with no wind. It was a truly memorable experience!

unforgettable journey with excellent guide services - unforgettable journey with super helpful and friendly guide. it was a challenge for me to climb up to the Lord of Rings scene. thanks for our lovely guide Cheryl's encouragement and instructions, I finally reached the top and enjoyed the spectacular views. highly recommended

Adventure and beauty! - This was such a wonderful, full day experience! We had so much fun! The hike up and down mt sunday can be daunting and a bit dangerous if you unbalance easily

Great Tour! - Amazing tour even if you don’t know anything about Lord of the Rings. Beautiful scenery and walks. The tour operator was excellent. Natasha was our driver and guide. Great stories, informative, and funny. The walk up the Mountain is a bit tricky. Wear good shoes and warm clothing. Can be VERY windy. Weather very changeable. The six wheel truck to get us there was a bit stiff but overall comfortable. Lots of breaks on the way there and back. Provided us with a simple but excellent lunch. Take snacks though since it can be a while before lunch is served. Be careful about the pickup times and places. There seemed to be a bit of a disconnect between Viator and the Hassle Free Tours. But Hassle Free tours cleared it all up for us. Picked us up on time. Getting back to Christchurch can be a little bit chancy due to traffic. Highly recommended

Amazing! - Such an amazing tour! Stunning scenery and our lovely tour guide Cheryl really went the extra mile and looked after all of us as a group, keep us informed of local/lord of the rings history. We had a steep climb up the mountain with fun props to play with followed with a glass of champagne with our sarnies at lunchtime! Fun videos to watch on the long drive there and back!
