Surprisingly Enjoyable - We were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed this activity. Not only was the ride on the gondola there and back interesting, but the shop at the top and the restaurant are both nice. The “ride” on the time travel machine is ok so can be missed if you are crunched for time. It is extremely windy at the top so dress appropriately no matter how warm it is in the car park where you depart.

Christchurch Gondola - Well organised. Fantastic views. If you want to walk around at the top wear sensible shoes or boots. Good gift shop and cafe.

The actual Gondola ride... - The actual Gondola ride was enjoyable. The clouds had moved in so we didn’t have the full panoramic view. Check the weather before you go.

Great spot for beautiful pictures - Took the Gondala ride to see views over the bay of Christchurch. While it started of very overcast the clouds luckily broke shortly after arriving to the top giving way to beautiful views over the Harbour and beachside. Cute souvenirs in the shop at the top. Overall it was a great spot for some good pics while visiting.

Excellent excursion while visiting Christchurch. - Great views from the top. Not much of a wait to get on but went early. Saw it was much busier when I left. Pot of tea and a caramel slice did the trick in the cafe at the top. Well worth doing this.

Great Walk and Views - Expensive and Poor Customer Service - Really amazing views and walk up the Bridle path then across to the Gondola. Nice building with some interesting history and a good cafe. 5 stars up until this point Then went to go down the gondola as we thought it was free if you walked up. We were rudely told to go buy a ticket when we asked, so went to buy a ticket. Cashier ignored me as I waited at the counter and then when I asked the cost bluntly gave it to me. I think $25 per person to go down is ridiculous particularly after walking up and spending money at the cafe. It doesn’t encourage people to walk up and then catch the gondola down. The staff at counter and checking tickets were rude so pretty disappointed. Seems like there should be a much better system in place
