Excellent excursion with super guide Alvaro - Very well organized excursion that gives time to visit Puebla and the other two sites included in the tour. There are guided moments, others free and time to eat calmly. The guide Alvaro was by no means one of the best I have ever met (and I have done many excursions in several countries), as he is very prepared and professional, at the same time fun and knows how to handle the group very well. All right, so is driver Lorenzo.

Great intro to Puebla - This was a great intro to Puebla. Ara was a very friendly guide who ensured we all enjoyed the tour. Her stories and history of the Cholula pyramid and the Mexican Baroque Church kept us entertained. Then the lunch and walking tour in Puebla was also interesting. The only complaint was the van wasn’t comfortable, as we felt every bump. The driver thought he was driving a race car on the winding mountain section, especially on the way back to Mexico City. Highly recommend Ara as a guide as she answered our many questions.

Excellent Tour to Cholula and Puebla with Alvaro - It was a great experience and a very pleasant tour to Cholula and Puebla. I should also mention the quality of the Tourist Guide who was in charge of the group. His name is Álvaro and he was very noted for his experience and professionalism in exercising his work. My lady and I had an excellent day with the group and with the accompaniment of Álvaro.

Ok trip - There were nice churches to see. Puebla old town is beautiful. Unfortunately due to traffic we didn't get any extra time to explore it more. It is a long drive between places. I'd rather just go to Puebla on a day trip. Guide was very informative.

Title: Refused refund during security emergency. extremely concerning safety standards - I booked this tour through Viator for February 23, 2026. On that date, multiple regions in central Mexico were experiencing serious security incidents, including cartel-related road blockades and highway disruptions. The U.S. Embassy in Mexico issued a Security Alert (Update 4) advising U.S. citizens in affected regions to shelter in place due to ongoing security concerns. Given those conditions, I made the responsible decision not to travel. Despite the documented security situation and embassy guidance, this tour operator refused to issue a refund and insisted the tour was still “able to operate.” Expecting tourists to ignore government safety warnings or risk losing their money is extremely troubling. What makes this even more disappointing is that the booking was made through Viator, a platform that promotes trusted and safe travel experiences. Situations like this raise serious questions about how safety issues are handled when travelers rely on the platform. With major international travel coming to Mexico for events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, travelers should carefully consider which operators they book with and how those companies respond during real safety incidents. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend researching alternative tour platforms such as GetYourGuide or booking with operators that demonstrate a stronger commitment to traveler safety and responsible customer service. Travelers should never be put in a position where they must choose between personal safety and losing their money.

I got late and was on my... - I got late and was on my way to reach the tour, the tour guide said he cannot wait for for extra 14 mins, they had 8.10 am as the start time and tolerance for 10 more mins, I told him I am already on my way and in the cab, he said no. i asked him to reschedule, he said no for that also, when i asked for refund, he said no for that also. Surely a terrible experience. I have been with so many tours before and have see tour guide waiting for them for 20 to 30 mins.
