- Akihabara Radio Kaikan - Iconic, multi-level complex of independent shops selling manga, anime figurines & related items. I can take to a more deeper shop for specific items like dolls or toys if you are interested.
- Akihabara - We can either go to other manga shops or figure shops or maid cafes or anything you prefer of your choice. We can custom the Akihabara tour just for your hobby.
- Shibamata - Next stop is the start of the retro side of the tour, “Takagiya,” a longstanding establishment in Shibamata. It’s a dumpling shop that became a location for a famous film series representing the Showa era, set in Shibamata. The interior of the shop has a relaxed, old-fashioned atmosphere, allowing you to experience the feeling of stepping into the world of the movies.
Their specialty is the grass dumplings topped with plenty of sweet red bean paste. Inside the shop, you’ll find photos and memorabilia related to the films, which should delight movie fans. Also, when we visit, we will combine it with a visit to the “Shibamata Taishakuten” shrine.
- Shibamata Haikara Yokocho - The last stop is “Haikara Yokocho”. Inside the strikingly nostalgic Showa-era retro building, you’ll find a plethora of familiar dagashi (cheap sweets), goods, games, and toys lining the shelves, allowing you to immerse yourself in the sensation of slipping back in time to the fond memories of the Showa era.
Rare retro souvenirs that can’t be found anywhere else can be purchased here.
