It features numerous souvenir shops for a delightful shopping experience. This is an ideal starting point for climbers aiming to reach the summit of Mt. Fuji. The climbing season runs from July 14 to September 10.
Note: During the hiking season, access to the 5th Station is restricted. A shuttle bus, costing 3000Â¥ per person, is required and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes for a round trip.
- Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko is a stunning lake and serves as the gateway to the Fuji Five Lakes area. Visitors can enjoy a ship cruise or take a ropeway cable car to Kachi Kachi Mountain. On clear days, it offers a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji.

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - This shrine dates back to 100 A.D., when a small shrine was built to honor Prince Yamato Takeru-no Mikoto’s visit. In 788, an altar was established to enshrine the Sengen God, aiming to prevent Mt. Fuji’s eruptions. The shrine became a center for Mt. Fuji worship, especially during the Edo era, and was designated a World Heritage Site in 2013.

Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba - Iyashi no Sato is an open-air museum and traditional craft village on the western shores of Lake Saiko. Originally a farming village destroyed by a landslide in 1966, it was reconstructed 40 years later. The village now features over twenty houses converted into shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries, offering traditional crafts and workshops. Activities cost between 600-1100 yen and do not require advance reservations.
