- Iglesia Colonial de Chinchero - On this day, the tour will explore the “Sacred Valley of the Incas.” The journey begins at 7:00 AM, with a pickup from the hotel to visit Chinchero, an archaeological site that was once an Inca temple. During the colonial period, a Catholic church was constructed over it. The tour will then proceed to the local town of Chinchero, where there will be a demonstration of Inca textiles. The local community continues the tradition of creating textiles using Andean materials and alpaca wool.
- Moray - The next destination is Maras, passing through charming villages and enjoying beautiful landscapes along the way. Maras is a picturesque village with pre-Hispanic, colonial, and republican attractions. Following this, the tour will visit Moray, an archaeological site featuring terraces in natural, gigantic holes used by the Incas as an agricultural experimentation center. These farming terraces were constructed with irrigation canals, with the largest hole having a depth of 150 meters and an average platform height of 1.80 meters between each.
- Salt Mine of Maras - The tour will then visit the Salineras, or “SALT MINES,” which consist of approximately 2,000 small salt wells that have been utilized since Inca times as a means of economic exchange.
- Urubamba Weavers’ Route - The tour will then proceed to Urubamba for a delightful buffet lunch.
- Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - The next stop is the fortress of Ollantaytambo, which served as a Tambo or accommodation during the Inca era. It was named in honor of Chief Ollanta, renowned for his romance with an Inca princess, the daughter of Pachacutec Inca. Ollantaytambo is the only Inca city in Peru that is still inhabited.
- Pisac Market - Finally, the tour will arrive at Pisac to visit the famous craft market and the archaeological site of Pisac, featuring picturesque terraces on the mountains.
The tour will return to Cusco at approximately 7 PM.
