After pick-up, the journey to Jinshanling Great Wall begins directly. The drive from Beijing to Jinshanling Great Wall is approximately 2.5 hours (around 136km).

Entrance tickets for the main gate and shuttle bus are included.

From April 1 to October 31, visitors can enter through the middle gate of Jinshanling and access the Great Wall from Brick Crenel (tower name) or Shalingkou. After walking about 6km along the Great Wall, visitors can descend from East Five Window tower and exit through the East Gate of Jinshanling. The driver will be waiting at the parking lot outside the East Gate. The hike is somewhat challenging.

From November 1 to March 31, entry and exit must be through the same gate: the middle gate. The driver will be waiting at the same location.

Without spending a lot, you can explore the wild and the Great Wall at Jingshanling. Away from the tourists and crowds. Moderate 6km hike from the middle gate of Jinshanling to the east gate (from April 1 to October 31).

Self-guided hiking allows you to enjoy your time alone. No need to keep up with a large tour group or be pressured into visiting shops.
