Great day, relaxing and exciting! Hot springs at 8,200 feet above sea level - This is a great trip, very relaxing in so many ways, with a little excitement thrown in just for fun. We toured with the very talentedGonzalo who both drove us and gave commentary in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to accommodate all the different folks on our tour - all while driving through the mountains on some challenging roads The scenery on this tour is absolutely not to be missed. Really stunning views of the mountains, the canyons, and the glacier melt river. Of course, the hot springs is the main goal, and it was delightful. There are changing rooms, be prepared for a group changing room, and a group shower set up. In the women’s room, people kept their suits on to wash off afterwards and changed in a fairly demure fashion, with towels wrapped around them and so forth There are also toilets , although you might want to bring your own paper with you, as is always a good idea when you travel. The hot springs pools vary in temperature, and we made it through five of the seven. The fifth one was pretty darn hot, and I like hot water. We did not attempt the last two! Everyone in the pools were very pleasant, a very international group of folks, and everybody was having a great time. You will need to keep your belongings with you, as there are not any locker spaces. We recommend you take a dry bag or something similar for your phone and wallet if you decide to keep them with you in the springs. On our tour, the driver stayed with the van so we knew everything was secure. The water is an amazing color from the minerals. It is absolutely lovely and breathtaking to see the mountains around you. This tour comes with an added, not mentioned, massage. It occurs during the exciting part of this tour - the drive from the main road to the Hot Springs. The road is a dirt road with lots of rocks and holes. There was much bouncing around, which, with a good attitude, you will consider a free massage. Also, there is a lot of driving through the mountains and it really is a good idea to wear your seatbelt, folks! The lunch on your own venue was really lovely and the food was good, strongly recommend the local craft beer. This was just a great day, and we strongly recommend it.

Great guide and hot springs, but food options for purchase not recommended. - Pickup was perfectly on time. The van was very nice. We stopped at a rest area with bathrooms and a cafe (not included, expensive). Drive to the hot springs was bumpy but well worthwhile. Diego narrated the drive with very useful information and pointed out rivers, mountain, and sites. The hot springs were busy, but we were able to find a spot in any pool we wished. The amount of time spent at the hot spring was perfect. We stopped at a view point to see the volcano. Lunch afterwards was at a predetermined restaurant (not included). We returned to the rest area for a picnic and glass of wine. The restaurant we stopped at is known by two names, Restaurante Parque Almendro and NIEVES NEGRAS, in San Jose de Maipo. They have a limited menu. Overall, I’d recommend this tour due to the hot spring and amazing tour guide; however, I’d bring along food for breakfast and lunch as they were expensive and not amazing. Some additional advice, ensure you bring a bathing suit, body soap/lotion for after the hot springs and a warm jacket for the cool morning wind.

Small Group Tour: Cajon with Hotsprings - Our driver, Diego, was a very good driver and was very knowledgeable about the area. We felt the stop for a meal was not necessary since we stopped about 30 minutes later for a picnic. The picnic was enjoyable, however, I was looking forward to the olives! I love olives and they were not offered even though they were included in the description on our ticket. Our ticket stated that communication with the tour operator would be by email and/or WhatsApp. There was some concern because we use email and not WhatsApp and the tour operator stated "ONLY" by WhatsApp. There had to be several emails back and forth regarding our inability to use WhatsApp since we had no phone. Anyway, it all worked out in the end and our pickup went smoothly which we really appreciated!

A joyful day tour - We had a great time. Diego is a driver and tour guide he's friendly and informative. We enjoyed the hot spring. The minus one point is there’s one segment of the road is too bumpy and dusty.

See the Andes up close - This is good trip to get to see the countryside outside of Santiago but the hot springs are primitive at best and crowded . The driver did a good job.

Poor English speaker - If you are an English speaker, there are better tours out there. Our guide did not speak English well & did not explain much to us. He seemed burnt out. However the hot springs were wonderful to see.

Stay away - We were very disappointed with our day. The mini van was full of people and it was very uncomfortable. Especially on the bumpy windy roads. I was squashed in the middle of the back seat and had to lean forward the whole trip as there was not enough shoulder room for every one to sit back in there seat. And none of us were large people. The only scenery I saw was when we stopped, as you could only get glimpses unless you were on a window. Many people felt ill with the fast driving around many corners. As for the hot springs, how disappointing. I know you do not control this but they were dirty, unsafe and unhygienic. The changing facilities were disgusting. If we knew they were like this we would not have bothered going. This is 10 hours of my life I will never get back.

Changed pickup location, refused to allow us to cancel. - They changed the pickup location less than 24 hours before the trip, making it unreasonably difficult to get to the location at the departure time. I complained about it immediately upon viewing the change and received no response. Viator requested a refund since we could not easily make it, and we were refused. We are visitors to the area, so when our requested pickup location was accepted, we were led to believe we could be picked up where we asked to be picked up. We have had previous trips where we requested a hotel pick up outside the area, and responsible companies have notified us immediately of the issue. It was totally irresponsible for this company to not notify us when we booked the trip of the issue, and it was inexcusable to change the pickup location and not allow us a refund for their last minute modification.
