• Ek Balam Village - Ekʼ Balam is an archaeological site of the Yucatec-Maya located in the municipality of Temozón, Yucatán, Mexico. Positioned in the Northern Maya lowlands, it is 25 kilometers (16 miles) north of Valladolid and 56 kilometers (35 miles) northeast of Chichen Itza. From the Preclassic to the Postclassic period, it served as the center of a Mayan kingdom. The site is renowned for the well-preserved plaster on the tomb of Ukit Kan Lek Tokʼ, a king interred within the largest pyramid.
• Valladolid - Valladolid is a city in the eastern part of the Mexican state of Yucatán, serving as the seat of Valladolid Municipality. According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 56,494, making it the third-largest community in the state after Kanasín. The municipality’s population was 85,460. Valladolid is located about 170 km (105 miles) east of the state capital Mérida, 40 km (25 miles) east of Chichén Itzá, and 150 km (93 miles) west of Cancún.
